The real magic happens when you plug it in. A pair of Handwound Flat Magnet Jazzmaster pickups delivers that iconic, warm-yet-clear tone that put this model on the map. They have a beautiful sonic bloom with plenty of body, but they can also cut with a glassy top-end when you dig in. The neck feel is a dream, combining a comfortable Modern “V” profile with a flatter 12-inch radius and medium jumbo stainless steel frets. It’s a modern player’s delight, built for buttery bends and effortless chording.

Fender’s Custom Shop took care of the classic offset quirks with some seriously smart hardware. The RSD Jag/Jazz bridge provides incredible tuning stability and perfect intonation, a huge upgrade that lets you play with confidence. Paired with the Panorama Tremolo system, you get an expanded vibrato range perfect for deep, Strat-like dives or subtle warbles, all while staying perfectly in tune. This is a workhorse guitar built for the stage and studio.

This neck is built for comfort and speed. The ‘Modern V’ shape gives your thumb a comfortable anchor point, and as it flattens out slightly in the upper registers, it feels fast. The 12-inch radius is flatter than the vintage 7.25 or 9.5-inch spec, which makes string bending much easier, especially with high-action setups.
