Product Description

The Industry Standard 12-String, Perfected

There’s a reason the Taylor 150ce is one of the best-selling 12-string guitars on the planet. It’s not just about the iconic, shimmering chorus effect that only a 12-string can provide; it’s about making that sound accessible and incredibly playable. Taylor’s legendary neck design makes fretting chords on this beauty feel as comfortable as a standard six-string, which is a game-changer for long sessions or complex chord voicings.

Tone That’s Aged to Perfection, Instantly

The secret to the 150ce’s rich, mature voice is its torrefied spruce top. This special roasting process mimics the natural aging of wood, giving you the warm, played-in character of a vintage guitar right out of the box. Paired with layered sapele back and sides in a classic Dreadnought shape, the result is a powerful, room-filling tone with a robust low end and that signature Taylor clarity and sparkle. Every chord is an event.

Stage-Ready Electronics

When it’s time to plug in, Taylor’s onboard Expression System 2 (ES2) electronics ensure that all that natural acoustic richness translates beautifully to an amp or PA system. The behind-the-saddle pickup design captures the guitar’s dynamic range and nuance with stunning accuracy. Whether you’re leading worship, playing a coffee shop gig, or laying down tracks in the studio, the 150ce delivers authentic acoustic tone every time.

The Lowdown

We get it. Buying a guitar you haven’t played is a big decision. You need to know it’s going to feel right, sound right, and inspire you the second you open the case. We put together the questions we’d be asking if we were in your shoes—the real-world stuff that specs alone can’t answer. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just give us a call.

Torrefaction is a special roasting process that ages the wood before the guitar is even built. For you, that means you get the warm, responsive, and complex tone of a well-loved vintage guitar right from day one, without having to wait decades for it to open up.
They can be, but Taylor has famously solved that problem. The 150ce features Taylor’s slim neck profile, which is incredibly comfortable and feels much more like a regular 6-string than a traditional, bulky 12-string neck. It makes playing for hours a total breeze.
Of course. Every guitar gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup, but tell us your preferred string gauge and action at checkout, and we’ll dial it in exactly to your spec before it leaves the shop.
This guitar is covered by our 14-Day Return Policy. If you’re not completely inspired by it, just let us know. We’ll make it right.
Orders ship same day in most cases and arrive within 1-4 business days with free, insured shipping. We’ll get it into your hands as quickly as we can.
Call us at (888) 794-8482. You’ll talk to a real musician who can answer anything you need to know.
