Product Description

Vintage Heart, Modern Soul

Meet the Fender Custom Shop American Custom Stratocaster, a guitar that perfectly marries timeless design with modern playability. Finished in a stunning Crimson Burst, this Strat isn’t just an instrument; it’s a statement. From the moment you pick it up, the impeccable craftsmanship of the Custom Shop is obvious, offering a playing experience that feels both classic and completely refined.

A Neck Built for Performance

The real magic starts with the neck. Crafted from a gorgeous 3A roasted flame maple and topped with a 3A rosewood fingerboard, it’s a thing of beauty. The 1965 “C” profile feels instantly familiar and comfortable in your hand, while the modern 9.5″ to 12″ compound radius allows for effortless chording down low and choke-free bends up high. Finished in nitrocellulose lacquer, this neck feels broken-in from day one, offering a smooth, buttery playing feel that will inspire you for hours.

Sonic Versatility on Tap

Plug it in, and the Custom Shop Hand-Wound Underwound ’69 Single-Coil Strat pickups transport you straight to a golden era of tone. These pickups deliver all the glassy highs and bell-like chime you expect from a great Strat, with a slightly lower output that provides incredible clarity and dynamic range. The special wiring, featuring a master volume, master tone, and a 1/2 blend control, unlocks a whole new palette of sounds. You can blend in the neck pickup in positions one and two, adding warmth and body to your bridge tones for a sound that truly cuts through the mix.

Uncompromising Custom Shop Quality

Every detail of this guitar is meticulously chosen for performance and tone. The 2-piece select ash body provides a resonant foundation, while the medium jumbo stainless steel frets offer silky-smooth playability and long-lasting durability. Add in the RSD Stratocaster tremolo for stable, expressive vibrato and vintage-style tuners for a classic look, and you have a guitar that’s ready for the studio, the stage, and everything in between.

The Lowdown

We get it. Buying a guitar you haven’t played is a big decision. You need to know it’s going to feel right, sound right, and inspire you the second you open the case. We put together the questions we’d be asking if we were in your shoes—the real-world stuff that specs alone can’t answer. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just give us a call.

It’s a powerful tool for tone shaping. The blend knob allows you to mix the neck pickup’s signal into positions 1 (bridge) and 2 (bridge and middle). This lets you get fat, warm lead tones from the bridge pickup or add extra body and fullness to the ‘in-between’ sounds, almost like having a Telecaster and a Stratocaster in one guitar.
Stainless steel frets offer two main benefits. For playing feel, they are incredibly smooth, making bends and vibrato feel almost effortless, like playing on glass. Tonally, they can add a touch of brightness and clarity to the notes. Plus, they are extremely durable and will last for years without needing a fret job.
Of course. Every guitar gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup, but tell us your preferred string gauge and action at checkout, and we’ll dial it in exactly to your spec before it leaves the shop.
This guitar is covered by our 72-Hour Love-It Guarantee. If you’re not completely inspired by it, just let us know. We’ll make it right.
Orders ship same day in most cases and arrive within 1-4 business days with free, insured shipping. We’ll get it into your hands as quickly as we can.
