Notes from the Moore Staff

It’s always a treat when we get our hands on limited-edition models from our friends at Taylor Guitars—and this one is a real gem! Custom Taylors at this price point are rare, making this a standout opportunity for any discerning player. This guitar comes from Taylor’s Custom Select Program, which allows for personalized upgrades to standard models. In this case, the foundation is a 312ce 12-Fret, but with some key custom features that set it apart.

The first noticeable change is the headstock design: instead of the typical slotted design found on most 12-fret models, this guitar features a standard paddle headstock. This not only gives it a more traditional appearance, but also makes string changes quicker and offers a more conventional string angle.

What really makes this model special, though, is its tone-wood combination! It features solid walnut back and sides—usually reserved for much higher-end models—paired with a cedar top. The result is a warm, rich tone with walnut’s signature clarity and projection, mellowed by the cedar top’s softer overtones.

Other features include a carved mahogany neck with a 24-7/8” scale length, an ebony fingerboard adorned with elegant gemstone inlays, and for those who play plugged in, it’s equipped with an LR Baggs Element VTC pickup system for outstanding amplified tone.

All of this comes housed in a brown tolex Taylor hardshell case for safe transport and storage.

We’re only getting one of these—so don’t wait! This is such a great deal on a USA Custom Taylor!

-We love trade-ins! Have a guitar that’s collecting dust? Let’s talk! Tell us what you have, and we’ll explore trade-in possibilities. We can even assist with shipping!

-Flexible financing options. We offer 0% financing through Affirm and other flexible payment plans. Contact us to find the best option for you!

-72-Hour Risk-Free Trial. Certain models qualify for a no-risk, 72-hour trial period—ask us for details!

-Free UPS Ground Shipping: Need it faster? Expedited shipping options are available!

-Custom setup: Our experienced guitar techs set up and intonate every guitar and bass to the manufacturer's specifications before shipping. But what if you want something specific to your taste? No problem. If you want to provide measurements for neck relief and string height, we’ll nail it. Or you can give more general manufacturer's specs, like, “Neck is pretty flat. Low action. No buzz.” Our techs are professional guitarists. They understand you.

-In business since 1976: Moore Music has been a premier brick-and-mortar guitar shop in Evansville, Indiana since shortly after opening in 1976. Founder, Pat Moore, instilled in his business the concept of old-school service that we build upon today. When the current owner, Brett Mulzer, took the store online as Moore Guitars in 2013, we quickly developed a reputation for honesty and integrity in all our interactions with our customers. That’s a prime reason why we’re the fastest-growing online guitar shop.

-Old School Customer Service: Nothing is more important than helping a customer even if we don’t make a sale. We believe that if we’re honest with you, and treat you right, you’ll be back. Call us, or chat with us online. We love talking about guitars, and we want to help you find your perfect instrument. Even if it’s not from us.... but we think it will be!

-Our sales staff are all musicians! What’s more important than communication? We speak your language. Whether you’re a beginner or a professional player, we’ve been in your shoes. A lot of aspects of the guitar are intangible, and a non-player just can’t understand. It’s a guitar thing. But we can talk about tone and feel in the same language you use. We know what it means to love an instrument, and we want to help you find your new love.

You should have NO disappointments when you see this guitar and hold it for its first strum.

Please call the staff at Moore Guitars if you would like to have a personal on the phone description of this guitar. Thank you looking at our listing!
