Have a guitar to trade? We are always looking for great used guitars!  Please call us at 888-794-8482!

Moore Music located in Evansville, Indiana is an authorized Taylor Showroom Dealer, and we are proud to present to you this amazing Special NAMM Custom Grand Auditorium!   Crafted with top-tier tonewoods and master-level detailing, this is a very special "one of only 12 produced" instruments!

What is a "Catch" Guitar? Once a year, Taylor Guitars features a special event for all authorized Taylor Guitar dealers at the NAMM Show (National Association of Music Merchants) in Anaheim, Ca. where they show off some very unique and special guitars made specifically for show attendees.  These guitars are normally limited to anywhere from 5-50 total units, and are all "made to order".  Moore Guitars always searches out the "diamond-in-the-rough" examples; and at only $6,499 this unique custom is priced equally to many standard models!  This is a very exciting guitar that will help you build your own "Legacy" Guitar Collection! Treat yourself to one of only 12 in the world with this gorgeous example.

Custom #34: This particular model is a custom Grand Auditorium that features the beloved tonewood pairing of hand-selected Indian rosewood with a Lutz spruce top, producing a versatile sound rich with harmonic texture and blooming overtones.   Crafted without a rosette or pickguard to keep the focus on the inlay artistry, this build also sports an ebony peghead veneer with a paua logo, dark-stained bone bridge pins and a vintage-vibed honey sunburst top color treatment to complement its full-body gloss finish. Gotoh 510 tuners in antique gold and ES2 electronics with TaylorSense round out the package. It ships with a brown deluxe hardshell case.

I'm familiar with East Indian Rosewood, but what IS Lutz Spruce?  Per Taylor Guitars, here is a great explanation: Lutz Spruce is a naturally occurring hybrid of Sitka and White spruce, Lutz grows in climate zones between where Sitka and White spruce are found. (Sitka grows in more coastal areas, while White spruce thrives in interior regions.) Lutz is considered very adaptive within those microclimates, which can yield properties that are superior to either species alone. In terms of acoustic response, Lutz blends the positive characteristics of Sitka and White spruce and its close cousin, Engelmann spruce. The Lutz that Taylor uses tends to exhibit characteristics of Adirondack spruce. The result is powerful sonic horsepower that translates into strong volume, projection and tonal richness. This top choice goes well with most playing styles. Players with a lively attack will enjoy the tonal output and headroom.

Appointments - Is that a Koa tree on the fretboard? Yes!! highlight meticulous, detail-oriented craftsmanship with a backstrap in figured Hawaiian koa, matching koa body and soundhole binding; a Nouveau bridge inlay in paua and an intricate "Tree fretboard inlay" with a koa trunk and paua leaves.  Pictures Are of Actual Guitar!  If you would like more photos, we are happy to provide them!
