All Mahogany PRS Punch With Coil Split Versatility

If you want one guitar that can cover the whole gig without breaking a sweat, this S2 Standard 24 is that guitar. It feels alive in your hands, responds to every touch, and covers everything from glassy cleans to thick, singing gain without losing clarity.

All Mahogany Body For Rich Resonance And Sustain

The solid mahogany body is the heart of this guitar. It gives you that warm, round, mid-forward voice that fills up a mix without getting muddy, and the set neck construction keeps notes blooming and sustaining longer than they have any right to.

The asymmetric bevel carve keeps it comfortable against your body, so you get a sleek, contoured feel instead of a clunky slab. Finished in Vintage Cherry with pickguard-mounted electronics, it has that classic PRS vibe with a stripped-down, working-player look.

Pattern Thin Neck That Stays Out Of Your Way

The mahogany Pattern Thin neck is built for players who like to move. It is slim enough for fast runs and wide stretches, but it still has enough shoulder to feel solid in your hand so you do not cramp up on long sets.

The 10 inch rosewood fingerboard hits that sweet spot between vintage and modern. Chords ring evenly across the neck, bends feel buttery, and with 24 frets you have effortless access to all the high real estate for solos that really sail.

58/15 “S” Pickups With Coil Split Sparkle

PRS 58/15 “S” humbuckers bring the goods. In full humbucker mode you get tight lows, strong mids, and clear highs that cut without getting harsh, perfect for everything from blues crunch to modern rock gain.

Pull up the tone knob and you split the coils for more single coil style chime and glass. That gives you a huge palette of tones in one guitar, whether you are riding on clean worship tones, edge-of-breakup drive, or stacked pedals on a big board.

PRS Tremolo And Locking Hardware You Can Trust

The PRS patented molded tremolo feels smooth under your picking hand and returns to pitch predictably when you lean on it. Pair that with PRS low mass locking tuners and a properly cut PRS nut, and you get a rock solid tuning platform that can handle real-world playing.

Nickel hardware keeps the look classic and clean, while the “Standard” truss rod cover and signature headstock logo remind you this is very much a PRS, just with an understated, no-fluff attitude.

Gig Ready From The Moore Guitars Crew

This PRS S2 Standard 24 in Vintage Cherry weighs in at a comfortable 7.4 pounds, so it feels balanced on a strap and easy on your back. It ships in a PRS gigbag, strung with PRS Signature 10–46 strings and tuned to standard EADGBE, ready to drop into your rig.

Every guitar that comes through our Evansville, Indiana shop gets inspected three times and dialed in with our Player-Perfect setup before it leaves. The Lowdown

We get it. Buying a guitar you haven’t played is a big decision. You need to know it’s going to feel right, sound right, and inspire you the second you open the case. We put together the questions we’d be asking if we were in your shoes—the real-world stuff that specs alone can’t answer. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just give us a call.

The S2 Standard 24 is built as a true player’s guitar. Instead of paying for fancy tops and heavy cosmetics, you are getting an all-mahogany, set-neck workhorse with the same PRS design language, great fretwork, and reliable hardware. Real talk: it is focused on feel, tone, and reliability first, with an understated look that fits any stage.
The push/pull tone control engages coil splitting on the 58/15 “S” humbuckers. Pushed in, you get full humbucker punch and thickness. Pull it up and each pickup splits for more single-coil style chime and cut. That means you can jump from fat rock rhythm to glassy clean parts just by flicking the switch and popping the knob.
Yes. Pattern Thin is slimmer front-to-back than a traditional chunky carve, but it is not a pencil. There is enough shoulder to feel substantial, so your hand does not get tired, and the 10″ radius keeps chords and bends feeling natural. Most players coming from Strats, Teles, or modern single-cuts adapt to it very quickly.
Set up right, the PRS patented molded tremolo is very stable. The knife edges, PRS nut, and low mass locking tuners all work together so you can add vibrato, scoops, and subtle shimmers without constantly fighting tuning. If you tell us how you like your trem set (decked or floating) at checkout, we will dial it in before it ships.
Of course. Every guitar gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup, but tell us your preferred string gauge and action at checkout, and we’ll dial it in exactly to your spec before it leaves the shop.
This guitar is covered by our 14-Day Return Policy. If you’re not completely inspired by it, just let us know. We’ll make it right.
If you order before 3 PM CST on a weekday, it ships the same day. We’ll get it into your hands fast with free, insured 2-3 day shipping.
