Product Description

Workhorse Tone, Effortless Vibe

This pre-owned 2019 PRS S2 Singlecut Standard is a straight-up rock and roll machine. Built in Maryland, it strips the formula down to the essentials—a solid mahogany body, a comfortable mahogany neck, and a pair of killer humbuckers that can cover a ton of ground. It’s got that classic single-cut resonance and warmth, but with the modern playability and reliability PRS is famous for. This one’s in good condition and ready to rip, delivering pure, unadulterated tone that’s perfect for the stage or the studio.

Mahogany Heart, Resonant Soul

The all-mahogany construction gives this S2 a focused, powerful midrange with a warm, articulate voice. It’s punchy and full, providing a fantastic platform for everything from gritty blues to saturated rock. The Pattern Regular neck profile is a fan favorite for a reason—it feels substantial and comfortable, perfect for chording or single-note runs, while the 25″ scale length offers a slinky, satisfying feel under the fingers.

Vintage Voice, Modern Versatility

Loaded with PRS #7 “S” pickups, this guitar serves up a tone that’s thick and rich, with plenty of clarity. The bridge pickup has a nice sparkle and a tight low end, while the neck is a bit darker and smoother. But the real magic lies in the controls. Each pickup has its own volume and a push/pull tone control to tap into crisp, shimmering single-coil sounds, making this an incredibly versatile gigging axe. From fat humbucker crunch to glassy cleans, it’s all right here.

The Lowdown

We get it. Buying a guitar you haven’t played is a big decision. You need to know it’s going to feel right, sound right, and inspire you the second you open the case. We put together the questions we’d be asking if we were in your shoes—the real-world stuff that specs alone can’t answer. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just give us a call.

Think of them as a great, all-around vintage-hot pickup. In humbucker mode, they’re warm, punchy, and articulate—perfect for classic rock rhythms and thick leads. When you pull up the tone knob to split the coils, you get a brighter, lower-output single-coil sound that’s fantastic for cleans and funkier rhythm playing.
It’s based on Paul Reed Smith’s original, pre-factory neck carves from the late ’80s. It’s a comfortable, rounded shape that’s not too thick and not too thin. It fills the hand nicely without feeling like a baseball bat, making it a great fit for players who are used to either vintage or modern neck profiles.
Of course. Every guitar gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup, but tell us your preferred string gauge and action at checkout, and we’ll dial it in exactly to your spec before it leaves the shop.
This guitar is covered by our 14-Day Return Policy. If you’re not completely inspired by it, just let us know. We’ll make it right.
If you order before 3 PM CST on a weekday, it ships the same day. We’ll get it into your hands fast with free, insured 2-3 day shipping.
