Great question. The chambering gives the guitar a more open, airy, and acoustic-like resonance. It’s a bit brighter and less compressed than a traditional solid body, giving notes a beautiful ‘bloom’. It also makes the guitar significantly lighter, which is a huge plus for playing long sets.

Unpotted pickups are true to the original 1950s PAF design. The coils aren’t soaked in wax, which makes them more sensitive and microphonic. This translates to a raw, incredibly dynamic tone that captures every nuance of your playing. They’re very touch-sensitive and have a sweet, vintage character that’s hard to beat.
