Vintage inspired ES tone with extra shimmer and control

If you love the classic ES sound but want a little more polish, detail, and stage ready reliability, this Gibson ES-345 Vintage Burst hits that sweet spot. It has the airy bloom of a semi hollow, the focus of a solidbody, and the kind of appointments that make you want to keep it on a stand where you can stare at it.

Maple body, centerblock and spruce bracing that really sing

The 3 ply maple/poplar/maple body gives you that fast attack and glassy top end ES guitars are famous for, while the maple centerblock keeps things tight, focused, and resistant to runaway feedback. Quarter sawn Adirondack spruce bracing lets the whole chassis breathe, so chords bloom and single notes have a vocal quality instead of feeling stiff.

Finished in gloss nitrocellulose Vintage Burst with multi ply cream binding, it has that old school Gibson vibe without feeling like a museum piece. At 7.9 pounds it is light enough to wear all night, yet still has enough mass for sustain and authority.

Rounded C mahogany neck with an easy bending 12 inch radius

The mahogany neck with a rounded C profile feels familiar the second you wrap your hand around it. It fills the palm just enough to anchor bends and vibrato, but it never fights you when you are reaching for wide stretches or fast lines.

The rosewood fingerboard and 12 inch radius are built for buttery bends and clean chords up and down the neck. Medium jumbo frets give you enough height to dig in without feeling clunky, and the Graph Tech nut keeps tuning solid through bends, slides, and aggressive right hand work.

Calibrated T Type humbuckers with hand wired clarity

Here is the lowdown on the electronics. The calibrated T Type humbuckers are voiced for clarity, punch, and that sweet upper mid push that lets an ES sit perfectly in a mix. The neck pickup is warm and round without getting muddy, the bridge has bite and cut without going harsh, and the middle position gives you that open, three dimensional chime everyone chases.

A hand wired control assembly with Orange Drop capacitors means your tone knobs are actually useful. Roll back the volume for glassy, edge of breakup rhythm, or open everything up for singing leads. The guitar stays articulate the whole way instead of turning into a dull blanket of sound.

Stage ready hardware and classic ES appointments

Nickel hardware, an ABR 1 Tune O Matic bridge, and a lightweight aluminum stop bar keep the feel solid and the sustain singing. Vintage Deluxe tuners with keystone buttons hold pitch like a champ and look right at home on the headstock. The black 5 ply pickguard and black top hat knobs with silver reflectors tie the whole vintage aesthetic together.

You also get a hardshell case and Gibson accessory kit, so this ES-345 is ready to travel. Real talk – with our free pro setup, hand inspection, and 72 Hour Love It Guarantee, you can plug this in on day one and take it straight to the stage or studio with confidence.

The Lowdown

The Lowdown

We get it. Buying a guitar you haven’t played is a big decision. You need to know it’s going to feel right, sound right, and inspire you the second you open the case. We put together the questions we’d be asking if we were in your shoes—the real-world stuff that specs alone can’t answer. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just give us a call.

The ES-345 takes the core ES-335 recipe and dresses it up with extra refinement. You still get the classic semi-hollow growl and sustain, but the calibrated T-Type pickups, spruce bracing, and maple centerblock give this one a bit more clarity, focus, and dynamic range. Aesthetically, the multi-ply binding and split parallelogram inlays give it that “upscale Gibson” vibe without changing the familiar feel under your hands.
The maple centerblock and quarter-sawn Adirondack spruce bracing are there specifically to keep things controlled when you turn up. You still get that airy, semi-hollow resonance, but the centerblock focuses the low end and keeps feedback manageable. If you stand right in front of a cranked amp it will sing, but in a normal band mix it stays tight and musical instead of howling uncontrollably.
This one comes in at 7.9 pounds, which is a sweet spot for an ES-style guitar. It feels substantial enough that notes sustain and chords bloom, but it is light enough that your shoulder will be fine after a long set. The body balances nicely on a strap or in your lap, so you are not fighting neck dive or a heavy tail all night.
Yes. Between the calibrated T-Type humbuckers, hand-wired Orange Drop circuit, stable hardware, and included hardshell case, it is built with working players in mind. We also give it a full pro setup before it leaves the shop, so you can walk into a session or gig and trust it to stay in tune, intonate correctly, and respond musically to whatever you plug it into.
Of course. Every guitar gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup, but tell us your preferred string gauge and action at checkout, and we’ll dial it in exactly to your spec before it leaves the shop.
This guitar is covered by our 72-Hour Love-It Guarantee. If you’re not completely inspired by it, just let us know. We’ll make it right.
If you order before 3 PM CST on a weekday, it ships the same day. We’ll get it into your hands fast with free, insured 2-3 day shipping.
