Product Description

A Beautiful Contradiction

This isn’t your grandpa’s Telecaster. The Squier Paranormal Troublemaker Telecaster Deluxe Bigsby is a glorious mashup of classic Fender DNA and pure rock-and-roll swagger. It takes the iconic Tele body shape, binds it in elegant parchment, and then loads it with a potent cocktail of features that demand attention. From the dual humbuckers to the expressive Bigsby vibrato, this guitar is built from the ground up to be a formidable and versatile tone machine.

Dual Alnico Humbuckers with Coil-Split

The heart of the Troublemaker is a pair of Fender-Designed Alnico Humbucking pickups. These pickups deliver a tone that is both warm and powerful, with a rich midrange and plenty of sustain. The bridge pickup has a fantastic bite that cuts through a mix, while the neck pickup is smooth and articulate, perfect for soulful leads or jazzy chords. But the real magic lies in the push/pull tone knobs, which independently split the coils for crisp, snappy single-coil sounds. This gives you an incredible sonic palette, going from full-throttle rock to classic Tele twang in an instant.

Expressive Bigsby & Solid Foundation

Adding to the guitar’s unique personality is the genuine Bigsby B50 vibrato tailpiece. It’s perfect for adding gentle shimmers to chords or dramatic dips to lead lines, giving your playing a classic, expressive wobble. Paired with a solid Tune-O-Matic bridge, this setup offers reliable tuning stability while letting you explore a whole new dimension of sound. The Nyatoh body provides a resonant foundation, often compared to mahogany for its warmth and sustain, ensuring every note has depth and character.

Anatomy of a Tone Machine

Anatomy of a Tone Machine

Perfect for: Indie • Alternative • Rock • Blues

Tone

  • Bridge pickup has plenty of punch and midrange bite, perfect for driving rock riffs and cutting solos.
  • Neck pickup is warm, smooth, and articulate, delivering glassy cleans and fat, vocal-like lead tones.
  • Engage the coil-splits for classic, snappy single-coil sounds that evoke traditional Tele twang and chime.
  • Responds beautifully to your pick attack; dig in for aggressive grit or play softly for clean, sweet bloom.

Playing Feel

  • Well-balanced Nyatoh body feels solid and comfortable for long gigs or sessions.
  • The gloss-finished "C" shape maple neck is a classic, comfortable profile that feels instantly familiar.
  • The 9.5" fingerboard radius offers a perfect middle ground for chording comfort and effortless string bending.
  • The Bigsby vibrato is smooth and responsive, adding a layer of expressive potential under your fingertips.

Versatility

  • Effortlessly moves from thick, saturated distortion to clean, shimmering chords with a twist of the volume knob.
  • Takes pedals like a champ; the humbuckers love fuzz and overdrive, while the single-coil tones are great with compression and delay.
  • A fantastic recording guitar, offering a whole suite of humbucking and single-coil tones in one instrument.
  • Sits perfectly in a dense mix, with the power to cut through when needed or provide a warm bed of rhythm.

The Lowdown

We get it. Buying a guitar you haven’t played is a big decision. You need to know it’s going to feel right, sound right, and inspire you the second you open the case. We put together the questions we’d be asking if we were in your shoes—the real-world stuff that specs alone can’t answer. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just give us a call.

They’re incredibly convincing. The push/pull pots give you access to bright, snappy single-coil sounds that are fantastic for funk, country, or any style where you need that classic Telecaster cut and chime. It makes the guitar feel like two instruments in one.
For this style of vibrato, it’s quite stable. The combination of the Tune-O-Matic bridge and vintage-style tuners does a great job. It’s designed more for expressive shimmers and warbles than extreme dive-bombs, and for that, it performs beautifully without major tuning issues.
Of course. Every guitar gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup, but tell us your preferred string gauge and action at checkout, and we’ll dial it in exactly to your spec before it leaves the shop.
This guitar is covered by our 14-Day Return Policy. If you’re not completely inspired by it, just let us know. We’ll make it right.
Orders ship same day in most cases and arrive within 1-4 business days with free, insured shipping. We’ll get it into your hands as quickly as we can.
