Product Description

Vintage 60s Strat Soul With Ultra-Modern Firepower

If you love the feel and chime of a great 60s-style Strat but need modern reliability and playability, this American Ultra Luxe Vintage 60s Stratocaster hits that sweet spot. It is all the glassy top, scooped mids, and funky snap you expect from a Strat, with stainless frets, compound radius, and rock solid hardware that just does not quit.

This specific Surf Green beauty weighs in at 7.9 lbs and carries serial number US25003116. Photos are of the actual guitar, and it is sitting in our Evansville shop right now, fully dialed in and ready to go.

Heirloom Nitro Alder Body With Surf Green Mojo

The alder body keeps things classic and balanced: tight low end, clear mids, and that familiar Fender shimmer on top. The carved contours hug your body so it feels comfortable whether you are slung low on stage or tucked in for long sessions at home.

The Heirloom nitrocellulose lacquer is where things get special. It looks like a well-loved vintage Strat, but more importantly, the thinner nitro lets the body resonate and bloom instead of feeling choked like thick poly. It already feels broken in, and it will only get better the more you play it.

Ultra Luxe Neck: Fast, Stable, And Built To Last

The quartersawn maple neck is built for serious players. The Modern D profile fills your hand without feeling like a baseball bat, so you get a confident grip for big bends and chords without fighting fatigue on long gigs.

Ultra rolled edges and a satin lacquer finish make it feel like a neck that has been played for decades. The 10″ to 14″ compound radius rosewood board starts comfy for chords down low and flattens out up high for buttery bends with zero fretting out. Medium jumbo stainless steel frets feel smooth, intonate beautifully, and will outlast pretty much any gigging schedule you can throw at them.

Pure Vintage ’61 Pickups With Extra Secret Sauce

Under the hood, the Pure Vintage ’61 single-coil Strat pickups serve up everything from glassy neck pickup cleans to wiry bridge bite. Clean, they are sparkly and three dimensional. Push them with gain and they stay articulate instead of turning into mush.

The S-1 switch is the secret weapon. It quietly adds the neck pickup into positions 1 and 2 so you get those cool neck-plus-bridge and all-three-on tones that vintage Strats never had. It is not a gimmick, it is just a couple more genuinely usable colors on the palette that still sound unmistakably Fender.

Hardware That Stays Out Of Your Way And In Tune

The 2-point Deluxe synchronized tremolo with pop-in arm feels smooth and precise, with a cold rolled steel block and polished stainless block saddles that help notes ring longer and keep attack focused. You can lean into subtle vibrato or get more expressive without the bridge going squirrely on you.

Deluxe locking tuners and locking strap buttons mean tuning stability and stage security are handled. Aged white plastics, mint green guard, and nickel/chrome hardware give it the right vintage look without sacrificing any modern reliability.

Dialed In At Moore Guitars And Ready To Rip

Every guitar that comes through our doors gets the full Player-Perfect setup. Our techs are gigging players, so they set it up like it is going on their own board: precise intonation, smooth nut slots, action dialed where it feels alive rather than stiff.

Want it your way? Tell us your string gauge, tuning, and preferred action at checkout and we will lock it in before it ships. Free 2 to 3 day shipping, inspected three times, and backed by our 72-Hour Love-It Guarantee. Open the case, plug in, and you will know in the first chord why the Ultra Luxe line sits at the top of Fender’s modern heap.

The Lowdown

The Lowdown

We get it. Buying a guitar you haven’t played is a big decision. You need to know it’s going to feel right, sound right, and inspire you the second you open the case. We put together the questions we’d be asking if we were in your shoes—the real-world stuff that specs alone can’t answer. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just give us a call.

Real talk: this sits at the very top of Fender’s modern Strat lineup. Compared to an American Professional, you get a more advanced neck (compound radius, stainless frets, Ultra rolled edges), higher-end pickups, and more flexible electronics. Versus a standard American Ultra, the Heirloom nitro finish, Pure Vintage ’61 pickups, and stainless frets give it a more vintage-leaning voice with ultra-premium feel and durability. If you want a Strat that feels boutique but still says Fender on the headstock, this is the lane.
It feels like a great older Strat that has been played, not babied. The nitro is thinner and more open than gloss poly, so the guitar resonates more against your body and does not feel plasticky. Visually it has that gently aged vibe, but in the hands it just feels smooth, broken in, and ready for work from day one. No sticky gloss, no wrestling with the finish when you get sweaty under stage lights.
If you play a lot, absolutely. The stainless frets feel slick and precise under your fingers, and they hold their shape far longer than traditional nickel, so your bends stay in tune and your setup stays consistent. The compound radius means cowboy chords feel familiar down low, but when you head past the 12th fret the board flattens out so you can bend big without fretting out. It all adds up to a Strat that feels easier to play cleanly, especially when you are pushing your technique.
The S-1 here is genuinely useful. Your standard 5 Strat positions are all there, sounding exactly like they should. Hit the S-1 and you quietly add the neck pickup into positions 1 and 2, which gives you those Tele-style neck/bridge and all-three-on tones. They are great for rhythm parts that need to sit in the mix without getting lost, and they still feel very “Strat” under your hands. It is one of those features you do not know you need until you have it.
Of course. Every guitar gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup, but tell us your preferred string gauge and action at checkout, and we’ll dial it in exactly to your spec before it leaves the shop.
This guitar is covered by our 72-Hour Love-It Guarantee. If you’re not completely inspired by it, just let us know. We’ll make it right.
