Product Description

Vintage Vibe, Ultra Playability

This isn’t your grandad’s Tele unless your grandad was a certified shredder with a taste for the classics. The Fender American Ultra Luxe Vintage ’50s Telecaster is a masterclass in blending iconic, old-school cool with the kind of modern performance features that today’s players demand. From the resonant, grainy Ash body wrapped in a stunning Butterscotch Blonde Heirloom™ Nitrocellulose Lacquer finish to the state-of-the-art electronics, this Tele is built to inspire.

The Neck You’ve Been Dreaming Of

Let’s talk feel. The Modern “D” profile on this Maple neck is pure buttery comfort, designed for hours of effortless playing. Combined with a compound 10″-14″ radius fingerboard and 22 medium-jumbo stainless steel frets, you get a neck that’s just as happy chording down low as it is bending strings into the stratosphere up high. The satin lacquer finish feels broken-in from the first note, and with Luminlay® side dots, you’ll never lose your place on a dark stage.

Pure Vintage Tone with a Modern Twist

At the heart of this Tele is a pair of Pure Vintage ’51 Single-Coil pickups. They deliver all the snap, twang, and glassy clarity that made the Telecaster a legend. The bridge pickup cuts with authority but without any harshness, while the neck pickup is warm, clear, and incredibly expressive. But the real magic lies in the S-1™ switch on the volume knob. A quick tap activates a series wiring option, instantly giving you a fatter, humbucker-esque tone with a serious midrange punch perfect for kicking in a solo.

Built Like a Tank, Plays Like a Dream

Fender didn’t skimp on the details. From the rock-solid 6-saddle bridge with brass block saddles for added resonance to the deluxe locking tuners for insane tuning stability, every piece of hardware is chosen for performance. The TUSQ™ nut ensures your open strings ring out clear and true, making this a guitar that’s as reliable as it is inspiring.

The Lowdown

We get it. Buying a guitar you haven’t played is a big decision. You need to know it’s going to feel right, sound right, and inspire you the second you open the case. We put together the questions we’d be asking if we were in your shoes—the real-world stuff that specs alone can’t answer. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just give us a call.

Great question. The S-1 is a push-button switch on the volume knob that activates a special series wiring for the pickups. This bypasses the 3-way switch and links the two single-coils together like a humbucker, giving you a thicker, higher-output tone with more midrange growl, it’s like having a secret boost pedal built right into your guitar.
A nitro finish is a vintage-style lacquer that’s much thinner than modern polyurethane finishes. The benefit is that it allows the ash body to breathe and resonate more freely, which many players feel leads to a richer, more organic tone. The Heirloom™ finish on this model gives it the look and feel of a gently aged classic from day one.
Of course. Every guitar gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup, but tell us your preferred string gauge and action at checkout, and we’ll dial it in exactly to your spec before it leaves the shop.
This guitar is covered by our 72-Hour Love-It Guarantee. If you’re not completely inspired by it, just let us know. We’ll make it right.
Orders ship same day in most cases and arrive within 1-4 business days with free, insured shipping. We’ll get it into your hands as quickly as we can.
