Product Description

Right-Handed Body With A Southpaw Soul

This 2024 Custom Shop LTD Reverse 50’s Telecaster is a masterclass in tonal twisting, taking the iconic Tele platform and turning it on its head for a sound and feel that’s totally unique. From the reverse-angled bridge pickup to the flipped control plate, every detail is designed to give you a different kind of vintage-inspired fire. And in a vibey Aged Black Relic finish, it looks and feels like it’s seen a thousand smoky stages.

Reverse-Wired, Reverse-Angled Thunder

Here’s the lowdown: Flipping the bridge pickup angle tightens up the bass strings and fattens the treble strings. The result? A bridge tone with less ice-pick sizzle and more throaty, muscular punch. The Hand-Wound ’50-’51 Blackguard pickups deliver all the raw, articulate power you expect, but with a fresh twist. The reversed control plate also puts the volume knob right at your pinky for effortless swells, and the selector switch is out of your picking path. It’s a player-centric layout that just makes sense.

A Neck to Die For

The heart of this Tele is its massive ’57 Style Soft “V” neck. Crafted from gorgeous rift-sawn maple, it’s a substantial .940″ at the 1st fret, filling out to a full 1.000″ at the 12th. That’s a real handful of wood that translates into incredible resonance and sustain. The feel is pure vintage comfort, while the modern 7.25″-9.50″ compound radius fingerboard lets you fret chords cleanly down low and bend with buttery ease up high. The relic’d finish on the back feels like it’s been your number one for decades, smooth, fast, and utterly addictive.

Anatomy of a Tone Machine

Anatomy of a Tone Machine

Perfect for: Blues • Rock • Country • Indie

Tone

  • Bridge pickup offers a punchier, warmer attack with tight lows and thick highs—less ice-pick, more growl.
  • Neck pickup is classic Blackguard—warm, open, and glassy with beautiful clarity for rhythm and lead.
  • The middle position has all that iconic Tele "cluck" and snap, perfect for funky rhythms and chicken-pickin'.
  • Responds beautifully to your pick attack; dig in for aggressive bite or lay back for sweet, blooming notes.

Playing Feel

  • The 2-piece ash body is resonant and balanced, feeling solid and alive against your body.
  • The chunky '57 Soft "V" neck is a dream for players who love a substantial feel, offering a firm grip and massive sustain.
  • The compound radius makes it a breeze to play, offering vintage comfort for chords and modern ease for bends.
  • This is a guitar that invites long sessions; the broken-in Relic finish and player-focused features feel right at home.

Versatility

  • Goes from pristine, spanky cleans to raw, gritty overdrive with just a twist of the volume knob.
  • A perfect pedal platform. The unique pickup character loves fuzz, overdrive, and delay.
  • Records like a dream, sitting perfectly in a mix with a distinct voice that cuts through without being harsh.
  • The reverse-angled bridge pickup provides a powerful rock voice, while the neck pickup covers jazz and blues with ease.

The Lowdown

The Lowdown

We get it. Buying a guitar you haven’t played is a big decision. You need to know it’s going to feel right, sound right, and inspire you the second you open the case. We put together the questions we’d be asking if we were in your shoes—the real-world stuff that specs alone can’t answer. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just give us a call.

It’s all about tone and feel. Reversing the pickup angle puts the pole pieces for the lower strings closer to the bridge, tightening their response, while the higher strings get more warmth and body. The reversed control plate makes volume swells easier and moves the pickup selector out of the way for aggressive strumming. It’s a player-focused mod that many guitarists love.
It’s a substantial, comfortable C-shape with gently sloped shoulders—a soft ‘V’ feel. It’s perfect for players who like to anchor their thumb on the back of the neck. This one is particularly chunky, which feels amazing and adds a ton of sustain to the guitar’s voice.
Of course. Every guitar gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup, but tell us your preferred string gauge and action at checkout, and we’ll dial it in exactly to your spec before it leaves the shop.
This guitar is covered by our 72-Hour Love-It Guarantee. If you’re not completely inspired by it, just let us know. We’ll make it right.
Orders ship within 1–4 business days with free, insured shipping. We’ll get it into your hands as quickly as we can.
