Right-Handed Body With A Southpaw Soul
This 2024 Custom Shop LTD Reverse 50’s Telecaster is a masterclass in tonal twisting, taking the iconic Tele platform and turning it on its head for a sound and feel that’s totally unique. From the reverse-angled bridge pickup to the flipped control plate, every detail is designed to give you a different kind of vintage-inspired fire. And in a vibey Aged Black Relic finish, it looks and feels like it’s seen a thousand smoky stages.
Reverse-Wired, Reverse-Angled Thunder
Here’s the lowdown: Flipping the bridge pickup angle tightens up the bass strings and fattens the treble strings. The result? A bridge tone with less ice-pick sizzle and more throaty, muscular punch. The Hand-Wound ’50-’51 Blackguard pickups deliver all the raw, articulate power you expect, but with a fresh twist. The reversed control plate also puts the volume knob right at your pinky for effortless swells, and the selector switch is out of your picking path. It’s a player-centric layout that just makes sense.
A Neck to Die For
The heart of this Tele is its massive ’57 Style Soft “V” neck. Crafted from gorgeous rift-sawn maple, it’s a substantial .940″ at the 1st fret, filling out to a full 1.000″ at the 12th. That’s a real handful of wood that translates into incredible resonance and sustain. The feel is pure vintage comfort, while the modern 7.25″-9.50″ compound radius fingerboard lets you fret chords cleanly down low and bend with buttery ease up high. The relic’d finish on the back feels like it’s been your number one for decades, smooth, fast, and utterly addictive.
