Product Description

Vintage Vibe, Modern Power

This isn’t just a tribute, it’s a full-throttle recreation of a rock ‘n’ roll legend. The Epiphone Les Paul Standard 60s channels the spirit of the Kalamazoo originals, delivering the iconic look, feel, and most importantly, the sound that defined a generation of guitar heroes. From the stunning AA flamed maple top to the authentic growl of its humbuckers, this guitar is built to inspire. It’s a true player’s axe, ready for the stage, studio, or your favorite armchair.

Tone That Bites Back

The heart of this Les Paul is its powerhouse pickup combination. A ProBucker 2 in the neck and a slightly overwound ProBucker 3 in the bridge serve up that legendary PAF-style warmth and grit. These Alnico II humbuckers are incredibly responsive, cleaning up beautifully with a roll of the volume knob and snarling with rich, harmonic overdrive when you dig in. The neck pickup is pure buttery warmth, perfect for soulful leads, while the bridge pickup has the punch and clarity to cut through any mix.

Effortless 60s Playability

The neck is where this guitar truly shines. The SlimTaper 60s C profile is fast, comfortable, and just plain fun to play. It’s substantial enough for chording but slim enough for lightning-fast runs up the Indian Laurel fingerboard. Combined with a 12″ radius and 22 medium-jumbo frets, you get a buttery-smooth playing surface that makes big bends and vibrato feel effortless. It’s a neck that just begs you to play for hours.

The Lowdown

We get it. Buying a guitar you haven’t played is a big decision. You need to know it’s going to feel right, sound right, and inspire you the second you open the case. We put together the questions we’d be asking if we were in your shoes—the real-world stuff that specs alone can’t answer. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just give us a call.

The biggest difference is the neck profile. The 60s model, like this one, has a faster and slimmer SlimTaper ’60s C profile, compared to the thicker, rounder ’50s neck. The 60s model also features the slightly hotter ProBucker 3 in the bridge for a bit more bite.
They get incredibly close. Epiphone designed the ProBuckers with Alnico II magnets and similar construction to the legendary PAF humbuckers Gibson used. They deliver that same warmth, clarity, and dynamic response that makes those vintage pickups so sought-after.
Of course. Every guitar gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup, but tell us your preferred string gauge and action at checkout, and we’ll dial it in exactly to your spec before it leaves the shop.
This guitar is covered by our 14-Day Return Policy. If you’re not completely inspired by it, just let us know. We’ll make it right.
Orders ship within 1–4 business days with free, insured shipping. We’ll get it into your hands as quickly as we can.
