Hendrix vibe in a stage ready Flying V
This is Epiphone doing Hendrix right. You get the iconic Love Drops Flying V look, real Gibson Custombucker guts, and a silky Maestro vibrola that begs for wide, singing vibrato and controlled feedback.
Psychedelic Love Drops looks with real Hendrix DNA
This is an Inspired by Gibson Custom recreation of the Hendrix Love Drops V, right down to the ebony refinish and those hand painted style psychedelic graphics. It feels more like a piece of rock history than just another signature model, with Jimi’s reproduced signature and Inspired by Gibson Custom logo on the back of the 1967 style headstock.
The ebony body with Love Drops art pops under stage lights and on camera, so it is as much a visual statement as a tone machine. Real talk, this is one of those guitars that makes you want to plug in and play just because it looks so good on a stand.
Mahogany body and Custombuckers for singing sustain
Under the paint you get a solid mahogany Flying V body that brings warmth, sustain, and that vocal midrange Hendrix leaned on for his big lead sounds. It stays focused under gain, so chords stay clear and leads bloom instead of turning mushy.
The real magic is the Gibson Custombucker humbuckers. These are not your typical Epiphone pickups. They are open, airy, and dynamic, with enough grit to push an amp but enough clarity to keep every note of a chord defined. Roll back the volume and they clean up into glassy, expressive tones that love fuzz, overdrive, and modulation.
Rounded C neck and 12 inch radius that feel like home
The one piece mahogany neck with a rounded C profile hits that sweet spot between vintage heft and fast, modern comfort. It fills your hand just enough to feel solid, but never feels like you are fighting it on long sets.
A 12 inch radius laurel fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets makes bends feel smooth and controlled all the way up the neck. The fretwork, Graph Tech nut, and dual action truss rod keep things stable, so you can set it up low for fluid legato or a bit higher if you want to dig in hard without choking out.
Maestro vibrola and roadworthy hardware
The LockTone Tune O Matic bridge and Maestro Short Vibrola combo is all about expressive playing without sacrificing tuning stability. Use it for subtle shimmer, Hendrix style chord wiggles, or slow, wide vibrato and it snaps back to pitch when it is set up right.
Nickel hardware, Epiphone Deluxe tuners with double ring keystone buttons, nylon saddles, and Switchcraft switching and jack mean this thing is built to gig. The three strap buttons give you flexible hanging options so the V sits where you want it, not where gravity decides.
Stage ready, Hendrix approved vibes from our shop
This particular guitar weighs in around 7 pounds, which is light enough for a whole night on stage but still has the punch and resonance you want from a mahogany V. It comes in a killer hardshell case with light blue interior and gold Authentic Hendrix and Inspired by Gibson Custom logos.
It is sitting in our Evansville, Indiana shop right now, inspected three times, set up by our techs, and ready to ship. If you have always wanted that Hendrix Flying V thing without dropping vintage Gibson money, this hits that sweet spot.
