MOORE GUITARS PRESENTS

THE LEGEND

The Most Misunderstood Guitar in Rock

The Beatles — “Revolution” The Beatles — “Get Back” (The Rooftop Concert)
Gary Clark Jr. — “Bright Lights”

A lot of people look at the Epiphone Casino and see a “jazz” guitar. Or they mistake it for a budget Gibson ES-335. Wrong.

The ES-335 has a solid block of wood running down the center to tame the noise. The Epiphone Casino is fully hollow.

Why does that matter? Because without that center block, this guitar is essentially a microphone for the air around you. It is lighter, louder, and more dangerous.

This is the guitar Paul McCartney bought in 1962 (before John or George had one). It’s the guitar Keith Richards used to record the demo for “Satisfaction.” But most famously, it is the guitar John Lennon stripped down to its natural wood finish and played on the Apple Corps rooftop in 1969.

When you hear that biting, aggressive, “fuzzy” distortion on the White Album? That isn’t a Strat. That isn’t a Les Paul. That is the chaotic magic of an Epiphone Casino being pushed to the limit.

THE ALCHEMY

Why It Howls (In a Good Way)

The Casino is a paradox. It looks polite, but when you plug it in, it wants to fight.

The “Hollow” Factor

Because there is no center block, the notes bloom differently. You can feel the entire body vibrating against your ribs when you play. And here is the secret: Controlled Feedback. Gary Clark Jr. uses the Casino because he can lean into his amp and get that musical, singing sustain that only a fully hollow body can produce.

The P-90 Snarl

Humbuckers are smooth; single-coils are glassy. The Dogear P-90s in this Casino are the brawlers of the pickup world. They have a fat, midrange-heavy punch that cuts through a mix like a knife. When you play clean, they chime like a bell. When you add overdrive? They get “furry” and aggressive in a way no other pickup does.

The “Lennon” Specs

This Natural finish isn’t just a color choice; it’s a nod to history. Lennon believed stripping the paint off his Casino allowed the wood to “breathe” better. Whether it’s placebo or physics, this Natural finish highlights the resonant Maple body in its purest form.

FROM THE FLOOR

Why Cory Hand-Selected This One

At Moore Guitars, we don’t believe in “stock.” Every guitar has to earn its place on our wall. We passed on others to get to this specific serial number.

Cory from Moore Guitars

“This guitar is absolutely feral. I love it.

The second you plug it in, you realize this isn’t a polite instrument. It’s fully hollow, so it feels like it’s vibrating apart in your hands. It wants to howl. It wants to feed back. It dares you to control it.

I grabbed this one specifically because it has the most aggressive acoustic ‘bark’ I’ve heard in the shop all month. When you dig in, it snarls back at you.

It’s raw, it’s noisy, and it feels dangerous. If you want a guitar that plays it safe, buy a Strat. If you want to feel like you’re standing on a rooftop in 1969, you buy this.”

— Cory, Moore Guitars

THE MOORE GUITARS PROMISE

You are buying from gigging musicians, not a warehouse robot.

We checked the intonation on the trapeze tailpiece—it’s locked in. We tested the P-90s to ensure they have that equal balance of “bite” and “body.” We strummed it acoustically to make sure the top is resonating freely.

You can buy a guitar that fits in the background, or you can buy the guitar that stood front and center on the roof of Apple Corps. The Epiphone Casino is a piece of rock and roll royalty that you can actually afford.

Own the legend.

Product Description

The Legendary Hollow-Body Returns

Plug in the Epiphone Casino, hit a chord, and you just *get it*. This isn’t just a guitar; it’s a piece of rock and roll history. From The Beatles to Keith Richards, the Casino’s airy resonance and signature P-90 bite have defined decades of iconic tones. Its fully hollow design means notes don’t just sound—they bloom. You feel the whole body move against you, creating a playing experience that’s alive, breathing, and incredibly responsive.

Classic Chime, Modern Grit

The magic of the Casino lies in its Epiphone PRO P-90 pickups. These single coils deliver a universe of tone—from the glassy, bell-like jangle perfect for rhythm work to a raw, gritty bark when you push your amp. There’s a reason these pickups are legendary; they have a midrange punch and touch sensitivity that humbuckers can’t replicate and a warmth that other single coils lack. Roll back the volume for pristine cleans, or crank it for that signature Casino roar.

Honest Feel, Timeless Look

The Natural finish is all about understated cool. It lets the layered maple body’s character show through, giving it a timeless, no-nonsense vibe that looks incredible under stage lights. Paired with a comfortable SlimTaper ’60s C profile mahogany neck, this guitar feels instantly familiar. It doesn’t fight you—it invites you to play for hours, whether you’re comping chords or weaving single-note lines.

Ready for the Stage and Studio

At Moore Guitars, we know that a great guitar is more than just wood and wires. That’s why this Casino gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup before it ships. We make sure it arrives at your door dialed-in and ready to play, with perfect action and intonation. If you’ve been chasing that authentic hollow-body sound without the vintage price tag, your search is over.

The Lowdown

We get it. Buying a guitar you haven’t played is a big decision. You need to know it’s going to feel right, sound right, and inspire you the second you open the case. We put together the questions we’d be asking if we were in your shoes—the real-world stuff that specs alone can’t answer. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just give us a call.

This is a true hollow-body, just like the originals from the ’60s. The lack of a center block is what gives the Casino its signature airy resonance and acoustic-like bloom. It also makes it much more lightweight and comfortable for long sessions.
P-90s are the perfect middle ground. They have more warmth and midrange punch than a typical Fender-style single coil, but more bite and top-end clarity than a humbucker. In the Casino’s hollow body, they produce a tone that’s incredibly touch-sensitive—they can sound sweet and clean one moment, and raw and gritty the next, all based on your pick attack.
Of course. Every guitar gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup, but tell us your preferred string gauge and action at checkout, and we’ll dial it in exactly to your spec before it leaves the shop.
This guitar is covered by our 14-Day Return Policy. If you’re not completely inspired by it, just let us know. We’ll make it right.
If you order before 3 PM CST on a weekday, it ships the same day. We’ll get it into your hands fast with free, insured 2-3 day shipping.
