Product Description

Acoustic Inspiration, Unplugged

Ever sit in a great-sounding room and feel your playing elevated? That’s the magic Yamaha bottled up in this LS-TA TransAcoustic. This isn’t just another concert-body acoustic—it’s an immersive playing experience. Right out of the case, this pre-owned gem is in Very Good Condition, ready to inspire. The real trick up its sleeve? Onboard reverb and chorus that bloom right out of the soundhole, no amp or pedals required.

The TransAcoustic Experience

Here’s the lowdown: Yamaha’s groundbreaking TransAcoustic technology uses a small actuator hidden inside the guitar. As you play, it vibrates with the strings, turning the entire guitar body into a natural “speaker” for lush digital reverb (both Room and Hall settings) and shimmering chorus. It’s a jaw-dropping effect that makes practicing, songwriting, or just noodling around a truly captivating experience. And when you’re ready to hit the stage, the SYSTEM70 electronics and SRT Piezo pickup deliver that same rich, effected tone through any PA or amp.

Classic Woods, Modern Performance

Beyond the tech, this is a seriously well-built instrument. The foundation for its voice is a solid Engelmann Spruce top, treated with Yamaha’s A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) process for a played-in, vintage character from day one. Paired with solid Rosewood back and sides, you get a tone that’s rich in harmonic complexity—deep lows, sparkling highs, and a responsive midrange that’s perfect for fingerstyle or light strumming. The 5-ply Mahogany and Rosewood neck is capped with a slick Ebony fingerboard, offering a playing feel that’s as smooth and comfortable as its tone.

The Lowdown

We get it. Buying a guitar you haven’t played is a big decision. You need to know it’s going to feel right, sound right, and inspire you the second you open the case. We put together the questions we’d be asking if we were in your shoes—the real-world stuff that specs alone can’t answer. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just give us a call.

It’s pretty amazing tech. Yamaha places a small device called an actuator inside the guitar. When you play, it captures the string vibrations and then vibrates the entire guitar body, creating natural-sounding reverb and chorus that come directly from the instrument itself.
Absolutely. The SRT Piezo pickup system sends the full signal—your guitar’s natural tone plus any of the TransAcoustic effects you’ve dialed in—through the output jack to a PA system, amplifier, or recording interface.
Of course. Every guitar gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup, but tell us your preferred string gauge and action at checkout, and we’ll dial it in exactly to your spec before it leaves the shop.
This guitar is covered by our 14-Day Return Policy. If you’re not completely inspired by it, just let us know. We’ll make it right.
In-stock gear typically ships within 1-2 business days (Mon-Fri). Most orders arrive in 1-4 business days via UPS Ground, depending on your distance from Indiana. We’ll get it into your hands fast with free, insured 2-3 day shipping.
