Product Description

The Perfect Blend of Comfort and Tone

Here’s a guitar that punches way above its weight class. This pre-owned Taylor 112ce Special Edition delivers the kind of playing experience and rich, seasoned tone you’d expect from a much more expensive instrument. Its Grand Concert body is incredibly comfortable to hold, making it a perfect companion for the couch, the studio, or the stage. The real magic, though, is the torrefied spruce top. This special roasting process gives the guitar a warm, broken-in sound from the very first strum, full of nuance and character.

Torrefied Top for Vintage Tone

The solid torrefied Sitka spruce top is the heart of this guitar’s voice. Taylor’s torrefaction process accelerates the wood’s aging, resulting in the tonal sweetness and responsiveness of a well-loved vintage instrument. You get a boost of warmth and clarity that makes every note bloom, whether you’re fingerpicking delicate melodies or strumming with a bit of force. Paired with the durable layered sapele back and sides, this guitar offers a sound that is both rich and resilient.

Effortless Playability and Stage-Ready Electronics

The 112ce is built to be played. The slightly shorter 24-7/8″ scale length and comfortable 1-11/16″ nut width make forming chords and flying up the neck a breeze. When you’re ready to plug in, Taylor’s renowned Expression System® 2 electronics are standing by. The behind-the-saddle pickup design captures the guitar’s natural dynamics and resonance faithfully, giving you a warm, authentic acoustic sound through any PA or amplifier. This guitar is in excellent condition and comes with its original gig bag, ready for your next musical adventure.

The Lowdown

We get it. Buying a guitar you haven’t played is a big decision. You need to know it’s going to feel right, sound right, and inspire you the second you open the case. We put together the questions we’d be asking if we were in your shoes—the real-world stuff that specs alone can’t answer. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just give us a call.

Torrefaction is a wood roasting process that replicates the cellular changes of natural aging. For you, the player, this means you get the warm, responsive, and complex tone of a vintage, well-played guitar right out of the box. It gives the 112ce a richer, more mature voice that’s incredibly sensitive to your playing dynamics.
The Grand Concert is one of Taylor’s smaller full-size body shapes. This makes it incredibly comfortable to hold and play, especially when sitting down. Tonally, it produces a very focused sound with controlled overtones, which is why it’s a favorite among fingerstyle players and for recording. It won’t boom like a dreadnought, but it offers incredible clarity and articulation.
Of course. Every guitar gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup, but tell us your preferred string gauge and action at checkout, and we’ll dial it in exactly to your spec before it leaves the shop.
This guitar is covered by our 14-Day Return Policy. If you’re not completely inspired by it, just let us know. We’ll make it right.
Orders ship same day in most cases and arrive within 1-4 business days with free, insured shipping. We’ll get it into your hands as quickly as we can.
