Product Description

Seasoned Taylor Tone That Will Not Wreck Your Budget

If you want real Taylor feel and tone without jumping into custom shop money, the 14ce hits that sweet spot. Full size Grand Auditorium body, torrefied spruce top, and plug in ready electronics make this a do everything acoustic electric that just works.

Torrefied Spruce Top With Sweet, Open Tone

The solid torrefied spruce top is the star of the show. Taylor roasts the spruce so it behaves more like wood from a well loved, older guitar which adds warmth, sweetness, and a more “played in” response right out of the box.

You still get that clear, articulate Taylor top end, but with extra warmth and bloom on chords. Strum hard and it stays defined, back off and it gets glassy and responsive under your fingers.

C-Class Voicing For Bigger Sustain And Low End

Inside the 14ce you get Taylor’s C-Class bracing with cantilevered V-Class style voicing. Translation for players: more sustain, stronger low end, and a more even response string to string.

The guitar feels alive against your chest, with notes that ring out instead of dying off too fast. Whether you are holding down worship pads, singer songwriter textures, or folky flatpicking, it fills the room without getting boomy.

Effortless Taylor Playability

The slender, heelless hard rock maple neck is classic Taylor. It has that easy, fast feel that makes barre chords, capo work, and melodic lines feel effortless, even on long sets.

West African Crelicam ebony under your fretting hand adds a smooth, glassy glide to slides and bends. At 4.5 pounds, the whole guitar feels light and balanced on a strap or on your knee, so you can play all night without fighting it.

Stage Ready With Fishman Sonitone GT-2

When it is time to plug in, the onboard Fishman Sonitone GT-2 keeps things simple and musical. It delivers a natural, usable acoustic tone that sits right in a mix for church, coffeehouse gigs, or full band stages.

Pair it with your favorite DI or acoustic preamp and you have a rock solid live rig that is ready for anything from open mics to touring duty.

Clean, Understated Look That Lets The Tone Speak

The 14ce leans into modern minimalism. Matte finish on the top, back, and sides feels smooth and broken in, while the natural color, single black rosette, and 4 mm dot inlays keep the look classy and unfussy.

No binding, no bling, just a focused working player aesthetic that puts the sound and feel front and center. The black pickguard ties everything together and keeps the top protected from enthusiastic strumming.

The Lowdown

The Lowdown

We get it. Buying a guitar you haven’t played is a big decision. You need to know it’s going to feel right, sound right, and inspire you the second you open the case. We put together the questions we’d be asking if we were in your shoes—the real-world stuff that specs alone can’t answer. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just give us a call.

Torrefaction is basically controlled roasting for the top wood. It drives out excess moisture and resin so the spruce behaves more like wood from an older, well played guitar. In your hands that means a sweeter, more open tone with quicker response and a little extra warmth around the notes. It also feels more “awake” under your right hand, even when you play softly.
Layered sapele is Taylor’s take on a modern, road ready body construction. The solid torrefied spruce top is still doing the heavy lifting for the tone, while the layered African sapele keeps things stable, consistent, and resistant to humidity swings. You get clear mids, great projection, and a guitar that is less likely to freak out when you take it from the bedroom to the stage or the van.
The 14ce is a killer “real” Taylor for players who want full size performance without paying for lots of cosmetic upgrades. You get the Grand Auditorium body, torrefied spruce top, modern C-Class voicing, and familiar Taylor neck feel, all at a price that works for gigging players, worship leaders, and serious students. It is a huge upgrade from most entry level acoustics and will absolutely hold its own on stage or in the studio.
Yes, this is right in the sweet spot for modern worship and live band work. The Grand Auditorium body gives you enough low end to feel big without stepping on the bass, and the torrefied spruce top keeps your chords clear when the whole band is going. The Fishman Sonitone GT-2 is plug and play, so you can go straight into a DI or pedalboard and get a solid, mix friendly tone with minimal tweaking.
Of course. Every guitar gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup, but tell us your preferred string gauge and action at checkout, and we’ll dial it in exactly to your spec before it leaves the shop.
This guitar is covered by our 14-Day Return Policy. If you’re not completely inspired by it, just let us know. We’ll make it right.
If you order before 3 PM CST on a weekday, it ships the same day. We’ll get it into your hands fast with free, insured 2-3 day shipping.
