Product Description

The Workhorse Dreadnought, Reimagined

Meet the Taylor 110ce—a guitar that punches way above its weight class. This isn’t just another entry-level acoustic. With a torrefied spruce top and Taylor’s renowned Expression System 2 electronics, this Dreadnought delivers the kind of seasoned, room-filling tone you’d expect from a guitar twice its price. It’s a cannon for strumming, a clear voice for songwriting, and a reliable partner for the stage.

Torrefied Top—Tone for Days

The secret sauce here is the solid torrefied spruce top. Taylor’s special roasting process ages the wood, giving it the warm, responsive, and played-in character of a vintage instrument right out of the box. You get incredible dynamic range—it whispers when you fingerpick and roars when you dig in—with a rich, complex bloom to every note. Paired with layered sapele back and sides, the sound is focused, powerful, and ready for any mix.

That Famous Taylor Feel

A great guitar has to feel right, and the 110ce delivers. The maple neck is slim and buttery, offering a fast, comfortable feel that makes barring chords and flying up the fretboard a breeze. The ebony fingerboard is glassy smooth under your fingertips, and the Venetian cutaway gives you effortless access to the upper frets. It’s a neck that just gets out of the way and lets you play.

Stage-Ready ES2 Electronics

Plug in, and the Expression System 2 translates the 110ce’s natural acoustic voice with stunning accuracy. Unlike typical under-saddle pickups, the ES2’s three behind-the-saddle sensors capture the guitar’s true dynamic properties. The result is a warm, authentic amplified tone that sounds like your guitar, only louder. Simple volume, bass, and treble controls make it easy to dial in your sound on any stage.

The Lowdown

We get it. Buying a guitar you haven’t played is a big decision. You need to know it’s going to feel right, sound right, and inspire you the second you open the case. We put together the questions we’d be asking if we were in your shoes—the real-world stuff that specs alone can’t answer. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just give us a call.

Think of it like artificially aging the wood. The torrefaction process roasts the spruce, removing moisture and oils, which makes it lighter, stiffer, and more stable. Sonically, this gives you the warm, open, and responsive sound of a well-loved vintage guitar right from day one.
Layered woods are incredibly resilient to changes in humidity and temperature, making the 110ce a durable and reliable guitar for traveling and gigging. It also allows Taylor to offer a fantastic-sounding instrument at a more accessible price point, while the arched back helps produce a full, powerful tone.
Of course. Every guitar gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup, but tell us your preferred string gauge and action at checkout, and we’ll dial it in exactly to your spec before it leaves the shop.
This guitar is covered by our 14-Day Return Policy. If you’re not completely inspired by it, just let us know. We’ll make it right.
