Product Description

Modern PRS Workhorse With Wide Open Tone

The PRS SE Custom 24 is the guitar that put the SE line on the map, and this Trampas Green one lives up to the reputation. It keeps the original Custom 24 DNA but drops the price into territory real working players can actually swing.

You get maple top snap, mahogany warmth, a wide thin neck, 24 frets, and a trem that actually stays in tune. It is one of those guitars that can cover the whole set without ever feeling like a compromise.

Maple Top Detail, Mahogany Punch

The recipe is classic PRS. A maple top with a maple veneer adds that tight, quick attack and visual pop, backed by a solid mahogany body that brings thick, singing mids and a focused low end.

The Trampas Green finish gives it a modern boutique vibe without screaming for attention. Under stage lights it looks slick, and up close you can see the depth and grain that keep gear nerds smiling.

Wide Thin Neck That Stays Out Of Your Way

The maple wide thin neck is built for players who like to move. It fills your hand just enough for solid rhythm work but stays fast and effortless when it is time to rip a solo.

Pair that with a rosewood fretboard and 24 frets and you have easy access to the whole range of the guitar. Bends feel smooth, vibrato stays controlled, and nothing fights you as you climb into the upper register.

85/15 S Pickups With Real World Range

The 85/15 S humbuckers are the secret sauce. Roll the gain back and they stay clear and glassy, push your amp and they tighten up for modern rock and heavier tones without getting harsh.

A simple control set keeps it intuitive on stage. Volume, push pull tone, and a 3 way blade switch give you everything from thick humbucker roar to brighter, snappier split tones, so one guitar can handle clean worship parts, crunchy choruses, and riffy bridges.

PRS Tremolo And Hardware You Can Trust

The PRS patented molded tremolo feels smooth under your picking hand and returns to pitch reliably when it is set up right. It is built for musical vibrato and tasteful dives, not just party tricks.

PRS designed tuners and nickel hardware round out the package with rock solid tuning stability and a clean, pro look. This is a guitar you can actually gig with night after night.

Dialed In, Inspected, And Ready To Gig

This specific guitar is serial number CTIA02907 and weighs in at 7.6 lbs, a sweet spot where it feels substantial but never punishing on a long set. The photos you see are of this exact instrument, not a stock catalog shot.

Every PRS we ship gets a full Player-Perfect™ setup from real musicians, inspected three times before it leaves our Evansville shop. You also get free fast shipping, flexible financing, and a support team that actually plays and cares about the gear they send out.

Questions about feel, setup, or how it will pair with your rig? Call (888) 794-8482 and talk to someone who speaks fluent PRS and will shoot you straight.

The Lowdown

We get it. Buying a guitar you haven’t played is a big decision. You need to know it’s going to feel right, sound right, and inspire you the second you open the case. We put together the questions we’d be asking if we were in your shoes—the real-world stuff that specs alone can’t answer. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just give us a call.

Real talk, the SE Custom 24 shares the same core design, scale length, and layout as its USA big brother, but at a price that is way friendlier to a working player’s budget. You still get the maple and mahogany recipe, 24 frets, a wide thin neck, and a PRS trem that feels familiar. The USA models use higher end woods and hardware and are a bit more refined, but this SE easily hangs on real stages and in real studios without feeling like a compromise.
The coil split is not a gimmick on this guitar. Pull the tone knob and you get a brighter, snappier voice that gets you into single coil style territory with extra cut and clarity. It will not sound exactly like a vintage Strat, but in a mix it gives you plenty of chime for worship, funk, or clean pop parts without losing the focus and tight low end of a humbucker platform.
Set up right, the PRS molded trem is rock solid. Keep the nut slots clean, stretch your strings properly, and this bridge will handle musical vibrato, flutters, and tasteful dives without freaking out your tuning. If you tell us how you like to use the bar, we can dial the setup to match before it leaves the shop.
Not at all. The Wide Thin profile feels fast when you want to blaze, but it still has enough shoulder to feel solid for chords and rhythm work. If you are coming from modern Fender or Ibanez style necks it will feel instantly comfortable, and even players who usually prefer chunkier necks are often surprised by how natural this one feels after a few minutes.
Of course. Every guitar gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup, but tell us your preferred string gauge and action at checkout, and we’ll dial it in exactly to your spec before it leaves the shop.
This guitar is covered by our 14-Day Return Policy. If you’re not completely inspired by it, just let us know. We’ll make it right.
If you order before 3 PM CST on a weekday, it ships the same day. We’ll get it into your hands fast with free, insured 2-3 day shipping.
Call us at (888) 794-8482. You’ll talk to a real musician who can answer anything you need to know.
