Product Description

Japanese-Crafted Shred Machine

This isn’t just another guitar—it’s a precision-built weapon for the modern player. This pre-owned 2019 Jackson MJ Series Soloist SL2, crafted in Japan, is a testament to the legacy of high-performance instruments. Finished in a slick Snow White with all-black hardware, it looks as fast and clean as it plays. The neck-through construction ensures massive sustain and unfettered access to all 24 jumbo frets, while the alder body provides a resonant, full-bodied tonal core that’s perfectly balanced.

Built for Speed and Stability

The heart of this Soloist is its incredible playability. The 3-piece maple neck with graphite reinforcement is rock-solid, built to withstand aggressive riffing and drastic climate changes. Your hand will glide effortlessly on the 12″-16″ compound radius ebony fingerboard—it’s designed for comfortable chording near the nut and flattens out for lightning-fast, choke-free bends and solos up high. Add in the recessed Gotoh® GE1996T double-locking tremolo, and you’ve got a system that begs for dive bombs and harmonic screams while holding perfect tune.

Iconic Seymour Duncan Tone

This SL2 is loaded with one of the most legendary pickup combinations in rock: a Seymour Duncan® JB™ TB-4 in the bridge and a Jazz™ SH-2N in the neck. The JB is the archetypal hot-rodded humbucker, delivering a powerful upper-midrange punch, tight low-end, and harmonically rich highs that cut through any mix. Flip to the Jazz in the neck, and you get a glassy, articulate, and clear tone that’s perfect for complex leads and warm, shimmering cleans. It’s a versatile powerhouse combo that covers everything from heavy blues to the most demanding metal.

Anatomy of a Tone Machine

Anatomy of a Tone Machine

Perfect for: Hard Rock • Metal • Shred • Progressive Rock

Tone

  • The JB bridge pickup delivers that classic hot-rodded snarl with a tight low end and screaming high-mids that define rock and metal tones.
  • The Jazz neck pickup offers glassy, articulate highs and a full, tight bass response—perfect for fluid solos and pristine clean passages.
  • The middle position offers a balanced blend, great for articulate rhythm playing with both warmth and bite.
  • Highly responsive to your picking attack; dig in for aggressive saturation or ease up for cleaner, more nuanced tones.

Playing Feel

  • The Soloist body shape is perfectly contoured and balanced for comfortable playing, whether standing or sitting.
  • The compound radius ebony fingerboard and jumbo frets make for a buttery, fast playing surface that's effortless to navigate.
  • The neck-through design provides an incredibly solid feel with unparalleled upper-fret access and instant note response.
  • Built for endurance, this is a guitar that remains comfortable and inspiring through long gigs and intense studio sessions.

Versatility

  • Excels at high-gain, but the volume knob cleans up the tone beautifully, revealing a wide dynamic range.
  • This classic passive pickup setup is a perfect platform for any pedalboard, from simple overdrives to complex digital effects.
  • In the studio, this guitar provides a focused, mix-ready tone that sits perfectly in a dense arrangement.
  • The JB's midrange cut ensures you'll never get lost in the mix, while the Jazz offers the clarity to stand out.
