Product Description

The Real Deal: A 60s Les Paul with Bite

This is the one. When players talk about a Les Paul Standard with the perfect blend of vintage soul and modern-day muscle, this is what they mean. This Iced Tea Standard 60s is built the right way, solid, non-weight-relieved mahogany, a beautifully figured AA maple top, and a gloss nitro finish that lets the whole thing breathe. It’s got the authority and sustain that only a real Les Paul delivers, with a neck that just begs you to play faster.

Solid Tonewoods, Classic Recipe

The magic starts with the tonewoods. The solid mahogany body provides that unmistakable warm, focused midrange and endless sustain, the kind you feel in your chest. The AA figured maple top isn’t just for looks; it adds a crucial layer of snap, articulation, and high-end clarity that keeps your tone from ever getting lost in the mix. Finished in a gorgeous Iced Tea gloss nitrocellulose lacquer, this guitar feels less like a factory product and more like a living, breathing instrument that vibrates with every note.

Fly, Don’t Fight: The SlimTaper Neck

If you’re tired of fighting with bulky, cumbersome necks, the SlimTaper 60s profile will feel like coming home. It’s substantial enough to grab onto for big chords but sleek enough to disappear when you’re blazing through solos. Paired with a bound Indian Rosewood fingerboard and a 12″ radius, the feel is pure butter. Bends are smooth and effortless, chords are comfortable, and you can set the action low without worrying about notes choking out.

The Voice of Rock: 60s Burstbucker Power

Plug it in, and there’s no mistaking that sound. The 60s Burstbucker pickups are loaded with Alnico V magnets, delivering a tone that’s rich, complex, and dripping with harmonics. The neck pickup is pure vocal warmth, perfect for syrupy blues lines, while the bridge pickup snarls with the perfect rock crunch and glassy overtones. Thanks to hand-wired controls with Orange Drop capacitors, your volume and tone knobs are incredibly interactive. Roll back the volume for stunningly articulate cleans, then dig in to push your amp into that sweet, touch-sensitive overdrive.

Built Like a Tank, Plays Like a Dream

This Les Paul is spec’d with hardware that’s been proven on countless stages and records. The ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and aluminum stop bar tailpiece create a solid, resonant connection between the strings and the body. Up top, Grover Rotomatic tuners and a Graph Tech nut provide rock-solid tuning stability, no matter how hard you play. It’s a workhorse, ready for the studio or the road, and it’s already here on our wall, set up to perfection by our in-house players and backed by our 72-Hour Love-It Guarantee.

The Lowdown

The Lowdown

We get it. Buying a guitar you haven’t played is a big decision. You need to know it’s going to feel right, sound right, and inspire you the second you open the case. We put together the questions we’d be asking if we were in your shoes—the real-world stuff that specs alone can’t answer. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just give us a call.

For a non-weight-relieved Les Paul, 9.5 pounds is a fantastic weight. It’s solid enough to provide the massive sustain and focused low-mids that these guitars are famous for, without being overly heavy. It’s right in that sweet spot that many players look for.
The 60s Burstbuckers use Alnico 5 magnets, which give them a bit more bite, punch, and clarity compared to the Alnico 2 magnets in ’57 Classics or Burstbucker 1 & 2s. They have a stronger output that’s perfect for classic rock and blues, with a top end that cuts through a mix without being harsh.
Of course. Every guitar gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup, but tell us your preferred string gauge and action at checkout, and we’ll dial it in exactly to your spec before it leaves the shop.
This guitar is covered by our 72-Hour Love-It Guarantee. If you’re not completely inspired by it, just let us know. We’ll make it right.
Orders ship within 1–4 business days with free, insured shipping. We’ll get it into your hands as quickly as we can.
