Product Description

Golden Era Les Paul Punch Without Vintage Headaches

This Les Paul Standard 50s isn’t just a guitar, it’s Gibson going all in on what made the originals legendary. With a non-weight relieved mahogany body, a beautifully carved maple top, and a substantial 50s neck, it delivers that unmistakable vintage feel. A set of Burstbuckers drips with classic PAF-style tone, giving you all the punch and clarity you crave without the headaches of a true vintage instrument.

Solid Mahogany Backbone, Carved Maple Bite

Feel the classic Les Paul heft on your strap with the non-weight relieved mahogany body, providing sustain that truly blooms and hangs in the air. The carved maple top cuts through with snap and clarity, ensuring your chords remain defined even when your amplifier is roaring. The gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish allows the wood to resonate freely, a depth of tone thick poly finishes simply can’t match. This Heritage Cherry Sunburst finish looks like it stepped right out of a late 50s catalog, completed by single-ply binding on the top and fretboard for that undeniable Gibson class.

50s Vintage Neck That Fills Your Hand

The 50s Vintage neck profile is substantial in all the right ways. It truly fills your palm, connecting you to every bend and vibrato. Yet, it’s carved clean enough that even marathon sets won’t turn into a hand workout. The bound Indian rosewood fretboard, with its 12-inch radius and 22 medium jumbo frets, makes bending feel buttery smooth without fretting out. These medium jumbo frets offer plenty of height for precise intonation and wide vibrato, all while feeling incredibly comfortable under your fingers.

Burstbucker 1 & 2: Real PAF Flavor

Loaded with a Burstbucker 1 in the neck and a Burstbucker 2 in the bridge, both featuring Alnico 2 magnets, this Les Paul captures that elusive early Patent Applied For magic. The neck pickup delivers warm, woody tones with glassy highs, making it perfect for expressive blues lines, rich jazz chords, and fat, articulate cleans. The bridge pickup nails that sweet spot of tight low end, rich mids, and a singing top end, without ever becoming an ice pick. Roll back the volumes, and it cleans up beautifully into a clear, chimey rhythm tone. Open it up, and you’re squarely in classic rock, blues rock, and hard rock territory all day long.

Hand-Wired Harness With Orange Drops

Real talk: the wiring harness is often where modern guitars cut corners. Not here. This Les Paul features a hand-wired harness with Orange Drop capacitors and audio taper pots, meaning your volume and tone knobs are incredibly musical tools, not just on/off switches. With two volumes, two tones, and a 3-way toggle, you have all the classic Les Paul tricks at your fingertips. Balance your pickups in the middle position, ride the volume knobs for dynamic gain staging, and maintain clarity and punch even when you dial things back.
