Product Description

The Zenith of Vintage Tone—Here and Now

This isn’t just another Les Paul; it’s a time machine. This pre-owned 2024 Gibson Custom Shop ’60 Reissue is a stunning example of what happens when obsessive detail meets legendary design. Finished in a breathtaking Washed Cherry Sunburst with a VOS patina, it has the look and feel of a guitar that’s seen decades of smoky stages—but with the flawless playability of a brand-new instrument. Built with a lightweight, one-piece mahogany body and a beautifully figured two-piece maple top, this guitar resonates with a voice that’s both powerful and articulate.

Historically Accurate Tone & Feel

Under the hood, this Les Paul is pure vintage gold. The unpotted Custombucker Alnico III pickups are the closest you can get to the mythical PAF tone—warm, sweet, and incredibly responsive to your touch. They deliver everything from glassy cleans to a snarling, gritty overdrive with exceptional clarity. The hide glue construction for the top and the long tenon neck joint aren’t just specs on a page; they’re critical ingredients to the open, resonant bloom you feel in every chord.

Engineered for Performance

The ’60s SlimTaper™ neck profile is where this reissue truly shines for the modern player. It’s noticeably thinner and flatter than its ’50s counterparts, designed for speed and comfort without sacrificing that classic Gibson feel. Whether you’re bending strings up high on the Indian Rosewood fingerboard or grabbing cowboy chords down low, this neck just feels *right*. Paired with authentic medium-jumbo frets, it offers a buttery, effortless playing experience for hours on end.

We get it. Buying a guitar you haven’t played is a big decision. You need to know it’s going to feel right, sound right, and inspire you the second you open the case. We put together the questions we’d be asking if we were in your shoes—the real-world stuff that specs alone can’t answer. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just give us a call.

The VOS finish gives the guitar the vibe of a well-cared-for vintage piece. The nitrocellulose lacquer has a lower gloss and a slightly aged look—it’s not relic’d with dings, but it feels broken-in, with a smooth, non-sticky feel on the neck that’s incredibly comfortable.
It’s a significant difference. The ’60s neck is much faster and less chunky. It has less ‘shoulder’ than the ’50s ‘baseball bat’ necks, making it a great fit for players with smaller hands or those who prefer a quicker, more modern feel for lead playing without sacrificing that classic Les Paul substance.
Of course. Every guitar gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup, but tell us your preferred string gauge and action at checkout, and we’ll dial it in exactly to your spec before it leaves the shop.
This guitar is covered by our 72-Hour Love-It Guarantee. If you’re not completely inspired by it, just let us know. We’ll make it right.
If you order before 3 PM CST on a weekday, it ships the same day. We’ll get it into your hands fast with free, insured 2-3 day shipping.
