Product Description

Your Workhorse Les Paul Has Arrived

This pre-owned 2022 Gibson Les Paul Studio in that gorgeous Smokehouse Burst is a straight-up rock and roll machine. It’s got all the essential Les Paul ingredients. The mahogany body, maple top, and set-neck construction make it built for the modern player who demands versatility and comfort. The Ultra-Modern weight relief means you can play all night without your shoulder giving out, a huge plus for gigging musicians. This isn’t just a stripped-down Standard; it’s a purpose-built tool for the stage and studio.

Hot-Rodded PAF Tone

The heart of this beast is the 490R/498T pickup combination. The 490R in the neck serves up warm, classic PAF-style tones with a bit of extra midrange push, perfect for buttery leads and full-sounding rhythm work. Flip to the 498T in the bridge, and you get a high-output, Alnico 5-powered monster that screams with enhanced crunch, sustain, and upper-midrange aggression. It’s a fantastic pickup for driving your amp hard and cutting through a dense mix. But the magic doesn’t stop there; both volume pots are push/pull, letting you tap the coils for crisp, single-coil sounds. The versatility here is off the charts.

Fast, Comfortable Playability

That classic Les Paul feel is here in spades, but with a modern twist. The Slim Taper neck profile is built for speed and comfort, letting you fly up and down the rosewood fingerboard with ease. It’s a noticeable difference from the ‘baseball bat’ necks of the 50s, designed to reduce player fatigue during long sets or sessions. Combined with the 12″ radius and medium jumbo frets, this guitar is effortless to play, whether you’re bending strings to the moon or chording down low.

  • Responds well to player dynamics, cleaning up nicely when you roll back the volume.

Playing Feel

  • Noticeably lighter thanks to Ultra-Modern weight relief, making it comfortable for long gigs.
  • The Slim Taper neck is fast and comfortable, designed for speed and reduced fatigue.
  • Bends are a breeze on the 12" radius rosewood board with medium jumbo frets.

  • The high-output 498T bridge pickup loves overdrive and distortion pedals, tightening up for aggressive rhythm and lead tones.
  • A studio staple for a reason; it can cover immense sonic ground from clean to mean.
  • The 498T cuts through a mix without getting harsh, while the 490R sits perfectly for rhythm and leads.
