Product Description

Big, Lush Acoustic Tone That Actually Holds Up On Stage

If you want a dreadnought that feels like a serious instrument, not just another entry in the catalog, this Fender PM-1 Deluxe Dreadnought delivers. All solid woods, pro electronics, and classy vintage styling all come together in a guitar that sounds huge, records beautifully, and is ready to gig right out of the case.

The solid Sitka spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides give you that classic combo of shimmering highs, rich mids, and a low end that has real weight without turning to mud. Hit it hard with a pick and it roars, back off and it responds with a sweet, glassy bloom that is perfect for fingerstyle and dynamic strummers.

All Solid Spruce And Rosewood For Real Resonance

This is not a laminate box. The solid Sitka spruce top is your engine for projection and clarity, while the solid East Indian rosewood back and sides add depth, air, and that piano like sustain players chase in high end acoustics. The quartersawn scalloped X bracing lets the top move freely, so the guitar feels alive under your right hand.

The result is a dread that fills the room without getting woofy. Chords stay defined, single note lines ring with sustain, and the guitar keeps its composure whether you are tuned to standard or dropped down a half step for a vocal friendly key.

Comfortable Neck That Stays Out Of Your Way

The mahogany C shape neck feels instantly familiar. It is slim enough for long sets and complex chords, but has enough meat to keep your hand relaxed instead of cramped. The high gloss finish feels smooth and classy without being sticky.

An ebony fingerboard with a 15.75 inch radius gives you a slick, fast surface that still feels stable under big first position chords. Vintage style frets and the bone nut keep things intonated and comfortable, so you can focus on the song instead of fighting the guitar.

Stage Ready Fender/Fishman PM Electronics

Real talk, a great acoustic that falls apart when you plug it in is useless on stage. The Fender/Fishman PM system in this guitar is voiced specifically for the PM-1 dreadnought shape, so what you hear through the PA actually sounds like your guitar, not a quacky approximation.

Onboard volume, bass, and treble controls let you adapt to any room, while the built in tuner and phase switch keep you in tune and in control of feedback without fumbling with extra gear. It is a true plug in and play setup that works with pedals, straight into a mixer, or into your favorite acoustic amp.

Vintage Fender Style, Modern Details

The vintage sunburst high gloss finish and Fender 60s checkerboard rosette give this guitar a throwback vibe that looks right at home under stage lights. Mother of pearl Concert Tone inlays, tortoiseshell pickguard, and nickel hardware tie the whole thing together.

Under the hood you get serious player focused details: ebony bridge with a compensated bone saddle for solid intonation, nickel open back tuners that feel precise and stay put, and premium materials throughout. It looks as good as it sounds, and it is built to handle real world use.

The Lowdown

We get it. Buying a guitar you haven’t played is a big decision. You need to know it’s going to feel right, sound right, and inspire you the second you open the case. We put together the questions we’d be asking if we were in your shoes—the real-world stuff that specs alone can’t answer. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just give us a call.

Real talk, a lot of guitars in this price range are still using laminate somewhere in the build. The PM-1 Deluxe is all solid wood: solid Sitka spruce top, solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, ebony fingerboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, and pro grade electronics. You are getting tone, materials, and appointments that punch way above what the price tag suggests.
The Fender/Fishman PM system is voiced specifically for this dreadnought body, so the amplified tone tracks the acoustic sound very closely. You get clear top end, focused lows, and plenty of warmth without that harsh, quacky piezo thing. The onboard EQ lets you tame boomy rooms, and the phase switch helps fight feedback on louder stages.
It really does both well. The dreadnought body and scalloped X bracing give you the headroom and low end you want for big strumming and flatpicking. At the same time, the spruce and rosewood combo plus the ebony board give it enough clarity and dynamic response to handle fingerstyle and more delicate parts without getting mushy. If you need one acoustic that can cover a whole set, this fits the bill.
This PM-1 Deluxe Dreadnought includes a deluxe hardshell case and a humidifier, so it is protected and properly cared for from day one. It also gets our full shop inspection and Player-Perfect setup before it leaves, so it arrives ready to play, not ready for a trip to your local tech.
Of course. Every guitar gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup, but tell us your preferred string gauge and action at checkout, and we’ll dial it in exactly to your spec before it leaves the shop.
This guitar is covered by our 14-Day Return Policy. If you’re not completely inspired by it, just let us know. We’ll make it right.
In-stock gear typically ships within 1-2 business days (Mon-Fri). Most orders arrive in 1-4 business days via UPS Ground, depending on your distance from Indiana. We’ll get it into your hands fast with free, insured 2-3 day shipping.
