Modern P-Bass Punch With Classic Fender Soul

If you want that unmistakable Precision Bass thump with playability that feels like it was built yesterday, this Limited Edition Player II Precision Bass hits the mark. Classic alder body, Player Series Alnico 5 split-coil pickup, and a sparkle 3-color sunburst finish that looks insane under stage lights.

Limited Edition Sparkle Finish That Owns The Stage

Fender took the familiar Precision Bass silhouette and dressed it up in Sparkle 3-Color Sunburst. Under house lights it looks classy, under stage lights it explodes with shimmer without ever getting gaudy.

The gloss polyester finish is tough enough for real-world gigging, so you do not have to baby it, and the alder body keeps the tone balanced and punchy. It is a bass that looks custom shop without the custom shop price tag.

Fast, Comfortable Neck Built For Long Sets

The Modern C maple neck with satin urethane back feels fast and smooth, so your hand never sticks when things get sweaty. The 9.5 inch slab rosewood fingerboard with rolled edges and 20 medium jumbo frets gives you that perfect mix of modern playability and familiar Fender feel.

Real talk, this is the kind of neck you forget about in the best way. You just play lines, lock with the drummer, and the bass stays out of your way.

Player Series Alnico 5 P-Bass Power

The Player Series Alnico 5 split single-coil is the heart of this bass. It delivers sweet highs, musical mids, and seismic low end that sits right in the mix instead of getting muddy.

Dig in with a pick and it gives you that classic grind with plenty of cut. Roll back the tone and play fingerstyle for thick, buttery lines. No switching, no gimmicks, just the P-Bass sound that built half your record collection.

Rock-Solid Hardware You Can Trust

The 4-saddle standard bridge with single-groove steel saddles keeps your intonation locked and your attack focused. Standard open-gear tuners and a 4-bolt neck joint with the F-logo plate give you classic Fender reliability night after night.

Knurled flat-top knobs, a 3-ply black pickguard, and nickel chrome hardware tie it all together. It feels like a serious working bass, because it is.

Dialed In By Moore Guitars

This bass is brand new, limited run, and sitting in our Evansville shop right now. It has been inspected multiple times, given our Player-Perfect setup (a $100 value), and is ready to cover everything from bar gigs to worship stages to studio sessions.

Tell us your preferred string gauge and setup when you check out and we will dial it in before it ships. You get a killer P-Bass that feels broken in from the first note, with free, fast shipping and a no-stress trial period.

The Lowdown

The Lowdown

We get it. Buying a guitar you haven’t played is a big decision. You need to know it’s going to feel right, sound right, and inspire you the second you open the case. We put together the questions we’d be asking if we were in your shoes—the real-world stuff that specs alone can’t answer. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just give us a call.

Spec-wise, this is the same stage-ready Player II Precision Bass you already know: alder body, Modern C neck, 9.5 inch slab rosewood board, and Player Series Alnico 5 split-coil. The big difference is the Limited Edition Sparkle 3-Color Sunburst finish. You get the same tone and feel as the standard model, but with a look that is way rarer and made to stand out under lights.
The neck is firmly on the modern side of the fence. The Modern C profile is slim enough for fast lines but still has enough meat to grab onto, and the satin back keeps it feeling fast and smooth. The 9.5 inch radius and medium jumbo frets make it easy to play up and down the neck without fretting out, but it still feels like a real Fender, not a skinny shred neck.
Absolutely. The Player Series Alnico 5 split-coil has enough top-end clarity for slap, plenty of attack for pick playing, and thick, supportive lows for fingerstyle. Roll the tone back for warm, vintage lines or open it up for bright, cutting parts. It takes well to onboard tone shaping and outboard preamps, so you can dial it for almost any gig.
This one comes in at 8 lbs 5 oz, which is right in the sweet spot for a working P-Bass. It feels solid without being a boat anchor, so long rehearsals and three-set nights are totally doable. On a good strap it feels balanced and comfortable, with that familiar Fender hang most players are used to.
Of course. Every guitar gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup, but tell us your preferred string gauge and action at checkout, and we’ll dial it in exactly to your spec before it leaves the shop.
This guitar is covered by our 14-Day Return Policy. If you’re not completely inspired by it, just let us know. We’ll make it right.
If you order before 3 PM CST on a weekday, it ships the same day. We’ll get it into your hands fast with free, insured 2-3 day shipping.
Call us at (888) 794-8482. You’ll talk to a real musician who can answer anything you need to know.
