Product Description

Dealer Exclusive Strat Tone With Custom Shop Attitude

If you have been chasing that alive under your fingers Strat sound without jumping into full Custom Shop money, this Dealer Exclusive Player II Stratocaster hits a very sweet spot. It has the classic look in Olympic White, the modern playability you want, and a set of Custom Shop Fat ’50s pickups that make it feel like the good stuff right out of the case.

Roasted Maple Neck Built For Real World Play

The roasted maple neck and fingerboard are the star of the feel show here. The Modern C profile fills your hand without ever feeling bulky, and the satin urethane on the back of the neck keeps things fast and smooth, even under hot stage lights. No sticky gloss, just a comfy, broken in style feel.

A 9.5 inch radius roasted maple board with rolled edges and 22 medium jumbo frets gives you easy bends, clean chords, and rock solid intonation all the way up the neck. Real talk, this is the kind of neck you forget about because it just stays out of your way and lets you play.

Custom Shop Fat ’50s For Glassy Chime And Grit

Fender dropped a full set of Custom Shop Fat ’50s single coils into this one, and that is where the magic really happens. You get that classic Strat sparkle on top, muscular mids that keep notes from sounding thin, and tight lows that stay focused when you punch an amp.

The 5 way blade lets you live anywhere from glassy neck pickup cleans to the rowdy bridge snarl, with all the sweet quack in positions 2 and 4. These pickups love edge of breakup, respond beautifully to your volume knob, and take pedals like a champ whether you are stacking drives or swimming in delay and verb.

Modern Hardware That Stays In Tune And Out Of The Way

The 2 point synchronized tremolo with bent steel saddles keeps the feel familiar but adds the stability modern players expect. You can lean into subtle vibrato, chord shimmers, or some old school Strat wobble without the tuning instantly going off the rails. Bent steel saddles keep the attack snappy and articulate.

Fender ClassicGear tuners lock in tuning with a smooth, precise feel, and the standard trem arm, single wing string tree, and aged white plastics tie together the classic aesthetic. It looks like the Strat in your head, but behaves like a guitar that is ready for real sessions and real stages.

Dealer Exclusive Spec, Player Focused Value

This is not a run of the mill Player II. As a dealer exclusive, it jumps a weight class with roasted maple and Custom Shop Fat ’50s while keeping the price in working musician territory. Built in Mexico with modern Fender consistency, it gives you pro level tone and feel without having to baby it like a museum piece.

Olympic White on roasted maple just looks right, too. On a dark stage or in front of a camera, this thing pops without screaming for attention. It is the kind of guitar that quietly becomes your number one because it simply does the job every single night.

The Lowdown

The Lowdown

We get it. Buying a guitar you haven’t played is a big decision. You need to know it’s going to feel right, sound right, and inspire you the second you open the case. We put together the questions we’d be asking if we were in your shoes—the real-world stuff that specs alone can’t answer. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just give us a call.

Compared to the standard Player II Strat pickups, the Custom Shop Fat ’50s have more chime on top, a fuller low end, and sweeter mids. Clean tones feel more three dimensional and note bloom is more pronounced. When you push an amp, they stay articulate instead of turning to mush, so you get that classic Strat sparkle with enough muscle to hang in a modern mix.
Roasting the maple removes moisture and stresses from the wood, which helps stability and gives a slightly snappier response. Feel wise, it is smooth and fast, with a satin back that never feels sticky. Tonally you get a clear, immediate attack and a bit of extra presence that pairs perfectly with the Fat ’50s set. It is the kind of neck that feels broken in on day one.
The 2 point bridge with bent steel saddles is built for real world use, not just bedroom wiggles. Set up correctly, it returns to pitch reliably for subtle vibrato and classic Strat wobble. Combined with the ClassicGear tuners and properly cut synthetic bone nut, you can actually use the bar without constantly fighting tuning issues, especially with a good setup and fresh strings.
This run takes the solid Player II platform and upgrades two of the most important ingredients for serious players: the neck and the pickups. You get a roasted maple neck and fingerboard for stability and feel, plus a full set of Custom Shop Fat ’50s pickups usually reserved for higher priced models. It is a spec combo you will not find on the standard Player II line.
Of course. Every guitar gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup, but tell us your preferred string gauge and action at checkout, and we’ll dial it in exactly to your spec before it leaves the shop.
This guitar is covered by our 14-Day Return Policy. If you’re not completely inspired by it, just let us know. We’ll make it right.
If you order before 3 PM CST on a weekday, it ships the same day. We’ll get it into your hands fast with free, insured 2-3 day shipping.
