Product Description

The Modern Tele Refined For Working Players

The Fender American Professional II Telecaster in roasted pine is what happens when seventy years of Tele DNA get tuned for today’s gigs and sessions. It keeps all the snap, bite, and vibe you expect, then adds comfort, clarity, and flexibility that make it a serious everyday workhorse.

The roasted pine body is lightweight and alive under your hands, with a dry, resonant acoustic voice that you feel against your ribcage. Plugged in, the V-Mod II Tele pickups deliver that classic twang and cut, but with a more articulate, touch-sensitive response that rewards every nuance of your right hand.

Resonant Roasted Pine Body & Gloss Finish

Roasting the pine pulls out moisture and stress from the wood, so this body rings longer and feels more responsive than a typical factory Tele. You get fast attack, airy highs, and a warm midrange that lets chords bloom instead of turning into mush.

The gloss urethane finish shows off the grain and keeps the guitar looking sharp on stage and in the studio. It is durable enough for real-world use, but the body still feels open and lively instead of stiff or choked.

Deep C Neck With Rolled Edges & Sculpted Heel

The Deep C neck hits that sweet spot between a slim modern carve and a chunkier vintage feel. It fills your hand just enough to keep your wrist happy on long sets, without ever feeling bulky.

Rolled fingerboard edges and the Super-Natural satin finish on the back make it feel broken in from the first chord. The newly sculpted neck heel lets you sail into the upper register without thinking about it, so those high-fret bends and double-stops feel effortless instead of like a reach.

V-Mod II Pickups: Twang, Snap, And Then Some

The V-Mod II single-coil Tele pickups are all about clarity and balance. The bridge pickup has that classic Tele bite and grit that cuts through a mix, but it stays musical and controllable instead of going icepick on you.

The neck pickup gives you glassy, articulate warmth that is perfect for clean chords, soulful leads, and anything in the worship or pop world. Kick both pickups on together and it locks into the mix with a sweet, slightly scooped sound that records beautifully.

Series Mode & Top-Load/String-Through Bridge

Hit the push-push tone knob and you drop both pickups into series, which fattens things up into almost humbucker territory. It is killer for big riffs, singing leads, and anything that needs more midrange push without losing Tele character.

The 3-saddle top-load/string-through bridge with compensated brass bullet saddles gives you options. String-through for classic tension and snap, or top-load for a slightly slinkier feel and softer attack. Intonation stays on point, and the brass saddles keep the tone rich and focused.

The Lowdown

The Lowdown

We get it. Buying a guitar you haven’t played is a big decision. You need to know it’s going to feel right, sound right, and inspire you the second you open the case. We put together the questions we’d be asking if we were in your shoes—the real-world stuff that specs alone can’t answer. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just give us a call.

Roasted pine is lighter and more resonant than standard body woods, which you feel immediately when you pick it up. The roasting process pulls moisture out of the wood, so it rings longer and responds faster to your touch. Tonally, you get a lively, open midrange with airy top end and a nice, woody character that really lets chords bloom and single notes sing.
The Deep “C” is a little fuller than a standard Modern “C,” but it is not a big vintage U or boat neck. It fills your palm just enough to keep your wrist relaxed, which is huge for long sessions. The rolled edges and satin back make it feel like a neck that has seen years of honest playtime, without any break-in period or sticky gloss to fight against.
The push-push tone control drops both pickups into series, which basically stacks them for a thicker, louder, more mid-forward tone. It is perfect for solos, big choruses, and songs where you need more muscle than a traditional Tele sound. Real talk: it feels like getting an extra pickup option without changing the look of the guitar.
Case or gig bag is not specified in this listing. If you need to know exactly what it ships with, call us at (888) 794-8482 or shoot us a message. We’ll give you the complete rundown so you know exactly what is coming to your door.
Of course. Every guitar gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup, but tell us your preferred string gauge and action at checkout, and we’ll dial it in exactly to your spec before it leaves the shop.
This guitar is covered by our 14-Day Return Policy. If you’re not completely inspired by it, just let us know. We’ll make it right.
In-stock gear typically ships within 1-2 business days (Mon-Fri). Most orders arrive in 1-4 business days via UPS Ground, depending on your distance from Indiana. We’ll get it into your hands fast with free, insured 2-3 day shipping.
