Product Description

The Telecaster, Perfected.

The Fender American Professional II Telecaster is the evolution of a legend. It’s a workhorse guitar that’s been refined over 70 years of player feedback, resulting in an instrument that feels instantly familiar yet delivers a whole new level of versatility. This isn’t just another Tele—it’s the new standard.

Tone That Bites and Sings

At the heart of this Tele are the V-Mod II single-coil pickups. Fender tweaked these to be more articulate than ever, capturing that classic Tele twang and sparkle but with a warmth and clarity that’s all their own. The bridge pickup has all the bite you need to cut through a mix, while the neck pickup is smooth and glassy. And the real secret weapon? A push-push tone control that activates a series mode, giving you a fatter, humbucker-like tone with a serious output boost. It’s two guitars in one.

Unmatched Playing Feel

From the first time you pick it up, the American Pro II just feels right. The Deep “C” neck profile has a comfortable, natural feel that fills the hand without being cumbersome, and the “Super-Natural” satin finish on the back is pure buttery bliss—no sticking, just speed. Rolled fingerboard edges and 22 narrow-tall frets make for effortless bending and chording, while the sculpted neck heel allows for comfortable access all the way to the upper register. This neck was built for performance.

Rock-Solid Stability

This Tele is built to be played, night after night. The new top-load/string-through bridge features compensated brass “bullet” saddles, one of the most significant upgrades for a Telecaster. This design gives you the classic brass-saddle tone and feel, but with perfect intonation across all six strings. Whether you prefer the slinkier feel of top-loading or the extra resonance of a string-through, you get a stable, reliable platform that just works.

We get it. Buying a guitar you haven’t played is a big decision. You need to know it’s going to feel right, sound right, and inspire you the second you open the case. We put together the questions we’d be asking if we were in your shoes—the real-world stuff that specs alone can’t answer. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just give us a call.

Great question. In standard Tele wiring, the middle position runs the two pickups in parallel for that classic, scooped sound. When you engage the push-push control, it rewires them in series. This treats the two single-coils like one big pickup, giving you a much fatter, warmer tone with a significant volume boost, much like a humbucker. It’s perfect for a lead boost or a thicker rhythm sound.
Traditionally, a 3-saddle Tele bridge can be a compromise for perfect intonation. Fender’s compensated ‘bullet’ saddles solve this. They are precisely angled to ensure that each string intonates correctly up the neck, so your chords sound truer and your leads are perfectly in tune. You get the vintage tone and sustain of brass saddles with the accuracy of a modern setup.
Of course. Every guitar gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup, but tell us your preferred string gauge and action at checkout, and we’ll dial it in exactly to your spec before it leaves the shop.
