The Working Musician’s Tele—Refined.
The American Professional II Telecaster isn’t just another iteration of a classic; it’s a player-focused evolution. Fender took everything we love about the Tele—the bite, the clarity, the workhorse reliability—and added thoughtful updates that you can truly feel. From the moment you pick it up, the contoured neck heel and the satin-finished Deep “C” neck feel like an old friend, just one that plays a whole lot faster.
V-Mod II Pickups: Classic Twang, Modern Punch
Fender’s V-Mod II Telecaster pickups are the heart of this guitar’s versatile voice. They deliver that iconic Tele twang and chime but with improved articulation and a touch more warmth. The real magic, though, is the push-push tone control. This little trick engages a series mode, giving you a fatter, humbucker-esque tone that’s perfect for driving an amp into sweet overdrive. It’s like having a secret weapon under the hood.
Player-First Feel & Performance
The playability is where the Am Pro II really shines. The Deep “C” neck profile has just enough shoulder to feel substantial for chords, while the rolled fingerboard edges and “Super-Natural” satin finish provide a smooth, broken-in feel for effortless lead work. Up top, the 9.5″ radius and narrow-tall frets make for easy, choke-free bending. Down below, the new top-load/string-through bridge with compensated brass “bullet” saddles offers classic brass-saddle tone, but with superior intonation and setup flexibility. This guitar is built to be played, night after night.
