Product Description

The Tele, Reimagined & Hot-Rodded

Take a classic Telecaster—the undisputed workhorse of stages and studios for over 70 years—and drop in a full-throttle, three-pickup engine. That’s the electrifying idea behind the Fender American Professional Classic Hotshot Telecaster. This axe pairs the timeless snap and feel of an alder body Tele with the expanded tonal universe of a Strat®, giving you a guitar that truly does it all with style and authority.

Your Entire Tone Arsenal in One Guitar

The magic is in the pickup configuration. You get two Coastline ’63 Single-Coil Tele® pickups in the neck and bridge, which are slightly overwound for a bit more punch and warmth than a vintage set. In the middle, a Coastline ’57 Single-Coil Strat® pickup with a reverse-wound/reverse-polarity design delivers those iconic, glassy “in-between” sounds. The 5-way switch unlocks everything from biting Tele twang to warm, jazzy neck tones and all the funky, chiming quack in between.

Modern Feel, Classic Vibe

This isn’t just a tone monster; it’s built for the modern player. The Modern “C” neck profile is that perfect, crowd-pleasing shape that feels right at home from the first chord. Combined with a 9.5″ radius maple fingerboard and 22 medium-jumbo frets, you get a buttery-smooth playing surface that’s effortless for both chording and single-note runs. The satin neck finish ensures you’ll never get stuck, no matter how heated the gig gets.

Rock-Solid & Stage-Ready

Fender dialed in the details to make this a reliable pro-level instrument. The vintage-style 3-saddle bridge features slotted brass barrel saddles, enhancing the guitar’s natural resonance and sustain for a lively, ringing tone. Up top, Fender’s ClassicGear™ staggered tuners provide modern tuning stability with a classic look, ensuring you’re always in tune. Dressed in a stunning Faded Lake Placid Blue and finished with a classic 4-ply tortoiseshell pickguard, this Tele has the looks to match its incredible sonic versatility.

We get it. Buying a guitar you haven’t played is a big decision. You need to know it’s going to feel right, sound right, and inspire you the second you open the case. We put together the questions we’d be asking if we were in your shoes—the real-world stuff that specs alone can’t answer. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just give us a call.

It’s the best of both worlds. You get the iconic, punchy bridge and warm neck tones of a great Tele, but the added Stratocaster middle pickup and 5-way switch give you access to those classic, chimey ‘in-between’ sounds that are perfect for funk, pop, and blues. It essentially turns one legendary guitar into a multi-tool for any genre.
They’re based on vintage designs but are slightly overwound. This gives them a hotter output with a bit more punch and warmth, making them perfect for players who need to cut through a mix or push an amp into natural overdrive, without losing that essential Fender sparkle.
Of course. Every guitar gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup, but tell us your preferred string gauge and action at checkout, and we’ll dial it in exactly to your spec before it leaves the shop.
This guitar is covered by our 14-Day Return Policy. If you’re not completely inspired by it, just let us know. We’ll make it right.
If you order before 3 PM CST on a weekday, it ships the same day. We’ll get it into your hands fast with free, insured 2-3 day shipping.
Call us at (888) 794-8482. You’ll talk to a real musician who can answer anything you need to know.
