Product Description

The Real Deal—Lefty Style

For all the southpaws who’ve been waiting for a Strat that just *feels* right, here it is. This pre-owned 2022 Fender Player Series Stratocaster isn’t just a reversed version of a classic; it’s a modern workhorse built for players. We’ve got this one in a stunning Tidepool finish, and it’s in mint condition—basically, it’s a brand-new guitar without the brand-new price tag. The Player Series nails that perfect balance between timeless Fender soul and the features today’s guitarists demand.

Modern Feel, Classic Vibe

Let’s talk playability. The Modern “C” maple neck is one of the most comfortable profiles Fender makes, and the satin finish on the back means no stickiness, just smooth sailing up and down the fretboard. Combined with a 9.5″ radius and 22 medium-jumbo frets, you get a neck that’s built for easy chording *and* effortless, choke-free bending. It’s a feel that’s instantly familiar yet refined for contemporary styles.

The Heart of the Tone

Under the hood, this Strat is loaded with a trio of Player Series Alnico 5 single-coils. These pickups are the secret sauce, delivering all the sparkle, chime, and quack you expect from a great Strat, but with a bit more punch and clarity. They have a stronger, more modern voice than vintage pickups, cleaning up beautifully but also handling overdrive with grit and articulation. From glassy neck-pickup blues to biting bridge-pickup rock, the full spectrum of iconic Strat tones is right at your fingertips.

Anatomy of a Tone Machine

Anatomy of a Tone Machine

Perfect for: Rock • Blues • Pop • Funk

Tone

  • Bridge pickup delivers a bright, punchy attack with enough bite for classic rock and lead lines.
  • Neck pickup is warm, glassy, and articulate—perfect for soulful chords and smooth, bluesy solos.
  • Positions 2 and 4 offer that unmistakable Strat "quack"—chimey, funky, and perfect for rhythm work.
  • Highly responsive to picking dynamics and cleans up beautifully when you roll back the volume knob.

Playing Feel

  • The Alder body provides a balanced, resonant feel that's comfortable for hours of play, standing or sitting.
  • The satin-finished Modern "C" neck is fast and smooth, while the 9.5" radius is the sweet spot for both chording and bending.
  • Feels alive in your hands—the alder body and maple neck combo resonates beautifully with every note.
  • A true workhorse guitar that won't fight you, making long gigs or studio sessions feel effortless.

Versatility

  • Goes from sparkling cleans to gritty overdrive with ease, retaining clarity and definition.
  • A fantastic pedal platform, letting the character of your favorite fuzz, delay, and modulation effects shine through.
  • Sits perfectly in a recording, providing classic tones that are easy for engineers to mix.
  • Cuts through a dense band mix without sounding thin or harsh.

We get it. Buying a guitar you haven’t played is a big decision. You need to know it’s going to feel right, sound right, and inspire you the second you open the case. We put together the questions we’d be asking if we were in your shoes—the real-world stuff that specs alone can’t answer. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just give us a call.

Great question. The Player Series uses Alnico 5 magnets, which give the pickups a higher output, more punch, and a clearer top end compared to older Alnico 3 or 2 designs. They’re a bit more modern and aggressive sounding, but they still have that classic Fender DNA. They handle gain exceptionally well.
It’s a fantastic modern design. The two-point pivot system offers a smoother, more stable action than the traditional 6-screw vintage bridge. It’s great for anything from subtle shimmers to deeper dives, and it has excellent tuning stability, especially when combined with the bent-steel saddles which add a touch of vintage tone.
Of course. Every guitar gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup, but tell us your preferred string gauge and action at checkout, and we’ll dial it in exactly to your spec before it leaves the shop.
This guitar is covered by our 14-Day Return Policy. If you’re not completely inspired by it, just let us know. We’ll make it right.
If you order before 3 PM CST on a weekday, it ships the same day. We’ll get it into your hands fast with free, insured 2-3 day shipping.
