Product Description

Shred-Ready Super Strat With Floyd Power And Punch

If you have riffs in your head and need a no-nonsense guitar to keep up, the ESP LTD M-200 FM is built for you. Fast neck, hot pickups, a real locking trem, and a flamed maple top that looks as mean as it sounds.

Mahogany Punch With A Flamed Maple Top

The M-200 FM starts with a classic recipe for high-gain tone: a mahogany body for thick, focused mids and sustain, topped with flamed maple for extra snap and cut. The See Thru Red finish lets that flame jump out under stage lights and makes this thing look every bit as aggressive as it sounds.

That flat M-series body keeps things comfortable whether you are picking from the elbow or living down by the bridge for tight rhythm work. It is a workhorse platform that feels familiar and stays out of your way while you play.

Extra Thin U Neck Built For Speed

The maple neck with ESP’s Extra Thin U contour is built for speed. It feels slim front to back without turning into a toothpick, so you still have something solid to grab when you dig in. If you are coming from more traditional bolt-on guitars, it will instantly feel faster without a learning curve.

The roasted jatoba fingerboard and 350mm radius give you a flat, modern feel that keeps bends smooth and chords clean across all 24 XJ frets. Extra jumbo wire means easy vibrato and effortless legato runs, so your hands can focus on phrasing instead of fighting the fretboard.

Floyd Rose Stability And ESP Firepower

An LTD by Floyd Rose trem and locking nut keep this guitar rock solid. Dig into dive-bombs, flutters, squeals, and heavy-handed vibrato, then come back to pitch without drama. The bridge sits right where your palm wants to rest, so tight palm mutes and intricate rhythm patterns feel natural.

ESP Designed LH-150 humbuckers hit that sweet spot for modern rock and metal. They are powerful and punchy with a tight low end and enough output to slam the front of your amp or modeler. Roll the volume back and they clean up into surprisingly usable glassy and edge-of-breakup tones.

Push-Pull Control For Extra Tonal Tricks

The passive electronics keep things simple but smart: volume, tone with a push-pull, and a 3-way switch. That push-pull tone control is there for extra tonal flexibility, giving you more colors to work with beyond the basic three-way positions.

Bridge for cutting rhythm grind, neck for thicker leads and cleans, middle for that blend that sits in any mix. Between the controls and your hands, this guitar can cover anything from tight djent-inspired chugs to soaring, singing leads.

The Lowdown

The Lowdown

We get it. Buying a guitar you haven’t played is a big decision. You need to know it’s going to feel right, sound right, and inspire you the second you open the case. We put together the questions we’d be asking if we were in your shoes—the real-world stuff that specs alone can’t answer. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just give us a call.

If your world is modern metal, hard rock, prog, or anything that needs fast playing and tight high-gain tones, this guitar is in your lane. The Extra Thin U neck, 24 XJ frets, and Floyd Rose style bridge make it perfect for shredders and rhythm players who want speed and stability without boutique pricing.
The Extra Thin U is noticeably slimmer front to back than a traditional C profile but still has enough shoulder so it does not feel flimsy. It is great if you like to wrap your thumb for control, move up and down the neck quickly, and play complex chords without hand fatigue. Real talk: if you have ever wished your current neck felt just a little faster, this will feel like cheating.
With the locking nut and LTD by Floyd Rose trem properly set up, tuning stability is rock solid. You can do dive-bombs, flutters, and aggressive vibrato and come right back to pitch. Like any Floyd-style system, it rewards a good setup, which we handle for you before it leaves the shop so you spend your time playing, not fighting the bridge.
The LH-150 set is voiced for modern rock and metal. You get tight, controlled lows for chugs, a strong midrange that keeps leads present in the mix, and enough output to push your amp or modeler into rich saturation. Roll back the volume and you can still get convincing cleans and edge-of-breakup tones, so it is not a one-trick high-gain pony.
Yes. The photos you see are of this exact ESP LTD M-200 FM in See Thru Red, serial WI21082146. We want you to know exactly what you are getting, down to the flame on the maple top, before you ever hit the Buy button.
Of course. Every guitar gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup, but tell us your preferred string gauge and action at checkout, and we’ll dial it in exactly to your spec before it leaves the shop.
This guitar is covered by our 14-Day Return Policy. If you’re not completely inspired by it, just let us know. We’ll make it right.
If you order before 3 PM CST on a weekday, it ships the same day. We’ll get it into your hands fast with free, insured 2-3 day shipping.
