Product Description

Channel the Texas Flood

This isn’t just a Stratocaster; it’s a heartfelt tribute to a legend. This pre-owned Fender Stevie Ray Vaughan Signature Strat is built to capture the fiery tone and immense feel of Stevie’s iconic “Number One.” From the engraved pickguard to the powerhouse pickups, every detail is designed to deliver that signature Texas blues-rock authority. This one’s in Very Good Condition, ready to hit the stage and carry the torch.

Texas-Sized Tone

The heart of this beast is a trio of Custom Shop Texas Special™ Single-Coil Strat® pickups. They’re overwound for increased output, giving you a sound that’s tight in the lows, punchy in the mids, and crystal-clear on top. They cut through a mix with serious attitude but clean up beautifully when you roll the volume back—perfect for expressive, dynamic playing where every nuance counts.

Legendary Feel

Fender didn’t just focus on the sound; they nailed the feel. The neck is a Thick “Oval” shape, a substantial profile that gives you plenty of wood to grab onto for big bends and heavy vibrato. Combined with a modern 12″ radius Pau Ferro fingerboard and 21 Narrow Tall frets, you get a buttery-smooth playing surface that’s built for speed and effortless string bending without fretting out. It’s a player’s neck, through and through.

Stage-Ready Specs

This Strat is decked out with striking gold-plated hardware, including the 6-Saddle American Vintage Synchronized Tremolo—set up for those signature SRV flutters and dives. The alder body, finished in a classic 3-Color Sunburst, provides the perfect resonant foundation for the pickups, ensuring a balanced and lively tone whether you’re playing clean or pushing an amp into glorious overdrive.

Anatomy of a Tone Machine

Tone

  • Bridge pickup has a searing, aggressive bite with a sharp top end that cuts through any mix.
  • Neck pickup is fat, warm, and glassy—ideal for soulful leads and thick rhythm sounds.
  • Positions 2 and 4 deliver that unmistakable Strat 'quack,' perfect for funky rhythms and bluesy textures.
  • Incredibly responsive to picking dynamics; play softly for clean, bell-like tones or dig in for gritty Texas blues.

Playing Feel

  • Feels solid and well-balanced, with a reassuring heft that translates to massive sustain.
  • The Thick 'Oval' neck fills the hand comfortably, while the 12" radius and narrow tall frets make for effortless, buttery bends.
  • Responds instantly to your touch, with a lively resonance you can feel through the whole guitar.
  • A true workhorse—the substantial neck profile reduces hand fatigue during long gigs or studio sessions.

Versatility

  • Goes from glassy clean to gritty overdrive just by adjusting your picking attack and the guitar's volume knob.
  • Loves boost, overdrive, and fuzz pedals—the Texas Special pickups provide a hot, clear platform for any effect.
  • Sits perfectly in a recorded mix, with a midrange presence that demands attention without being harsh.
  • Cuts through a dense band mix with authority, ensuring your leads and rhythms are always heard.

The Lowdown

We get it. Buying a guitar you haven’t played is a big decision. You need to know it’s going to feel right, sound right, and inspire you the second you open the case. We put together the questions we’d be asking if we were in your shoes—the real-world stuff that specs alone can’t answer. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just give us a call.

They’re overwound with more turns of wire, which boosts the output and midrange punch. This gives you a hotter, thicker sound that pushes an amp harder, delivering the signature SRV grit and bite while still retaining single-coil clarity.
While it’s definitely a fuller profile than a modern ‘C’ shape, many players find it surprisingly comfortable. The shape is designed to support your hand for big bends and heavy vibrato. If you’re used to vintage-style necks, you’ll feel right at home.
Of course. Every guitar gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup, but tell us your preferred string gauge and action at checkout, and we’ll dial it in exactly to your spec before it leaves the shop.
This guitar is covered by our 14-Day Return Policy. If you’re not completely inspired by it, just let us know. We’ll make it right.
