Product Description

Classic Look, Resonant Soul

At first glance, it’s the iconic workhorse that built modern music. That Butterscotch Blonde finish over an ash body is pure, unfiltered Fender history. But pick it up, and you’ll feel the secret right away. This isn’t just any ash; it’s chambered ash, a modern upgrade that makes this Telecaster significantly lighter and opens up its voice with an airy, resonant bloom. It’s the classic vibe you love, with a comfortable feel and acoustic richness you have to play to believe.

Player Series Power

This Tele gets its sonic horsepower from a pair of Fender Player Series Alnico 5 single-coils. These pickups are voiced for a touch more punch and clarity than vintage-spec winds. The bridge pickup delivers all the spank and twang you could ever want, cutting through a mix with authority. Flip to the neck, and you get a warm, glassy tone that’s perfect for soulful rhythms and fat, bluesy leads. They clean up beautifully but are more than happy to push an amp into sweet, natural overdrive.

Effortless Playability

Fender built this guitar to be played, hard. The Modern “C” maple neck is a true crowd-pleaser, substantial enough for chording but slim enough for fast runs. Its smooth satin urethane finish feels broken-in from the first note, never sticky or slow. Combined with a modern 9.5″ fingerboard radius and 22 medium-jumbo frets, you get a neck that makes big bends and intricate passages feel absolutely effortless, from the first fret to the last.

Anatomy of a Tone Machine

Anatomy of a Tone Machine

Tone

  • Bridge pickup delivers classic Tele twang with extra bite and clarity from the Alnico 5 magnets.
  • Neck pickup offers warm, glassy tones perfect for rhythm and smooth, vocal-like leads.

  • The chambered ash body is noticeably lighter, making it comfortable for long gigs and sessions.
  • A fast, smooth satin-finished Modern "C" neck profile feels instantly familiar and playable.
  • Responds instantly to your picking dynamics, from a soft touch to an aggressive attack.
  • The 9.5" radius and medium-jumbo frets make string bending a breeze.

Versatility

  • Excels at clean tones but loves pedals and sounds fantastic with a bit of grit or heavy overdrive.
  • A perfect pedal platform; its clarity ensures your effects never sound muddy.
  • The quintessential recording guitar; sits perfectly in a track with minimal EQ.
  • Cuts through a dense band mix without ever sounding harsh or thin.

The Lowdown

We get it. Buying a guitar you haven’t played is a big decision. You need to know it’s going to feel right, sound right, and inspire you the second you open the case. We put together the questions we’d be asking if we were in your shoes—the real-world stuff that specs alone can’t answer. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just give us a call.

The chambering process removes some of the wood inside the body, which has two huge benefits. First, it makes the guitar significantly lighter, so it’s much more comfortable on your shoulder during a long set. Second, it adds a beautiful acoustic-like resonance, giving the notes an airy quality and a bit more bloom and sustain. It’s like getting the best of a solid body and a semi-hollow guitar in one package.
They’re a bit more modern and aggressive, in a good way. The Alnico 5 magnets provide more output, a punchier midrange, and a brighter top end compared to the Alnico 3 or 2 magnets in many vintage pickups. This means you get that classic Tele twang, but with extra clarity and bite that helps you cut through a mix and drive an amp a little harder.
Of course. Every guitar gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup, but tell us your preferred string gauge and action at checkout, and we’ll dial it in exactly to your spec before it leaves the shop.
This guitar is covered by our 14-Day Return Policy. If you’re not completely inspired by it, just let us know. We’ll make it right.
Orders ship same day in most cases and arrive within 1-4 business days with free, insured shipping. We’ll get it into your hands as quickly as we can.
