Golden-Era Vibe, Modern Fire
This isn’t just another Telecaster, it’s a time machine with a hot-rodded engine. The Fender Custom Shop ’63 Telecaster Relic is a meticulous recreation of a golden-era classic, delivering the broken-in feel and sonic signature of a well-loved vintage instrument, but with the reliability and playability demanded by today’s musician. The Aged Fiesta Red finish, checked and worn in all the right places, tells a story before you even play a note. It feels like an old friend from the moment you pick it up.
Resonant Foundation
It all starts with a 2-piece select Alder body, the tonewood behind countless classic Fender sounds. This gives the ’63 Tele a punchy, focused midrange and a tight low end that never gets muddy. The nitrocellulose lacquer finish lets the wood breathe like a true vintage piece, enhancing the resonance you can feel in your hands and through the amp. The Relic treatment isn’t just for show it gives the guitar a comfortable, played-in feel that’s instantly inspiring.
Effortless Playability
The neck is where this guitar truly shines. It’s a rift-sawn Maple neck with a ’60s Oval “C” profile, a perfect middle ground that’s substantial enough for chord work but slim enough for lightning-fast leads. Combined with a AAA Rosewood fingerboard, a modern 9.5″ radius, and 21 Narrow Tall (6105) frets, you get a buttery, choke-free playing experience that vintage-spec guitars just can’t match.
Hand-Wound Powerhouse
Under the hood, this Tele is pure rock and roll swagger. It’s loaded with a set of Custom Shop Hand-Wound pickups. You get a Twisted Tele in the neck for clear, open-sounding chords and a Hand-Wound Original Blackguard (OBG) in the bridge for that iconic, snarling Tele bite with plenty of output. This combination delivers the authentic twang you crave, but with enough muscle to push your amp into glorious overdrive.
