Product Description

The Modern Tele, Perfected

Fender didn’t just tweak the formula; they refined it for the modern player who still craves that timeless Telecaster snap and soul. The American Professional Telecaster is a workhorse, plain and simple. From the first chord, you can feel the resonance of the ash body, delivering that classic bright, bell-like chime that has defined countless records. This isn’t just a guitar; it’s a direct connection to decades of music history, updated with the features today’s players demand.

V-Mod III Pickups: Classic Twang, Modern Punch

The heart of this Tele’s voice is its pair of V-Mod III single-coil pickups. Tim Shaw, the pickup guru himself, designed these to deliver the vintage warmth and clarity you expect, but with a bit more output and punch to cut through a mix. The bridge pickup has all the aggressive bite and twang you need for country and rock, while the neck pickup is warm, clear, and perfect for smooth lead lines or jazzy chords. The real magic, though, is the push-push tone control, which activates a series mode for a fatter, humbucker-like tone with a serious midrange boost. It’s like having a secret weapon under the hood.

The Neck You Won’t Put Down

The neck is where you connect with the instrument, and this one is pure buttery comfort. The Deep “C” profile is a beautiful middle ground, substantial enough for a solid grip on chords but slim enough for effortless lead playing. Combined with the “Super-Natural” satin finish on the back, your hand will glide up and down the neck without a hint of stickiness. Rolled fingerboard edges and 22 narrow-tall frets on a 9.5″ radius rosewood board make bending strings and chording feel fluid and intuitive right out of the box.

Rock-Solid Hardware

Every piece of hardware is built for performance. The new top-load/string-through bridge features compensated brass “bullet” saddles, a fantastic upgrade that delivers classic brass-saddle tone and feel while providing superior intonation. Whether you prefer the slinkier feel of top-loading or the extra tension and sustain of string-through, this bridge has you covered. Fender’s Standard cast/sealed staggered tuners and a genuine bone nut ensure tuning stability you can rely on, night after night.

The Lowdown

We get it. Buying a guitar you haven’t played is a big decision. You need to know it’s going to feel right, sound right, and inspire you the second you open the case. We put together the questions we’d be asking if we were in your shoes—the real-world stuff that specs alone can’t answer. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just give us a call.

It activates a series circuit for the two pickups. Instead of running in parallel like on a standard Tele, this wires them like a humbucker, giving you a much fatter, higher-output tone with a strong midrange presence. It’s a great way to get a thicker sound for a solo or a heavy rhythm part without touching your amp or pedals.
The Deep ‘C’ profile is a sweet spot between a Modern ‘C’ and a vintage ‘U’ shape. It has a bit more shoulder and mass than a standard Modern ‘C’, which feels great for players who like to wrap their thumb around the neck. It’s comfortable for both chord work and single-note runs, offering a substantial feel without being too chunky.
Of course. Every guitar gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup, but tell us your preferred string gauge and action at checkout, and we’ll dial it in exactly to your spec before it leaves the shop.
This guitar is covered by our 14-Day Return Policy. If you’re not completely inspired by it, just let us know. We’ll make it right.
