Product Description

The Ultimate P-Bass, Redefined

This isn’t just another bass; it’s Fender’s top-tier vision for the modern player. This American Ultra II Precision Bass, looking absolutely stunning in its Noble Blue finish, is a mint-condition tone machine that blends classic vibe with bleeding-edge features. We’re talking about an instrument that can handle any gig, any session, and any genre you throw at it, all while feeling like an old friend right out of the case. It’s built in the USA for players who demand the best, period.

Unprecedented Tonal Flexibility

The heart of this beast is its insanely versatile electronics package. You get the iconic, punchy growl of an Ultra II Noiseless™ Vintage P-Bass pickup in the middle, plus the articulate, snappy bite of a Noiseless™ Vintage Jazz Bass® pickup at the bridge. But Fender didn’t stop there. The redesigned 18-volt preamp gives you a powerful 3-band active EQ to sculpt your sound with surgical precision. A quick tap of the S-1™ switch on the volume knob flips you from a rich, detailed active mode to a classic, warm passive mode in an instant. With a pan pot to blend the pickups and a mini-toggle to select your mid-frequency, your perfect tone is always just a twist away.

Effortless Playability

From the moment you pick it up, the Ultra II feels different. The quartersawn maple neck boasts a modern “D” profile that’s slim, fast, and comfortable for hours of playing. Its buttery Ultra Satin Urethane finish feels broken-in from day one, and the sculpted neck heel allows for incredible access to the upper frets. The real magic is in the 10″-14″ compound-radius ebony fingerboard. It’s rounded down low for comfortable chording and flattens out up high for effortless soloing and string bending. It’s a player-centric design that feels both familiar and futuristic.

Built for the Road

Every detail on this bass is designed for performance. The HiMass™ bridge can be strung through the body for maximum resonance or top-loaded for a slinkier feel, giving you options for your setup. Fender’s lightweight vintage-paddle tuners keep you in tune with rock-solid stability, while the Graph Tech® TUSQ® nut ensures buzz-free performance. And for those dark stages, the Luminlay® side dots are a lifesaver, glowing to guide your way. This bass isn’t just a looker; it’s a road-worthy tool built to perform night after night.

The Lowdown

The Lowdown

We get it. Buying a guitar you haven’t played is a big decision. You need to know it’s going to feel right, sound right, and inspire you the second you open the case. We put together the questions we’d be asking if we were in your shoes—the real-world stuff that specs alone can’t answer. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just give us a call.

It’s a game-changer. With the S-1 switch up, you’re in active mode with the powerful 18V preamp engaged, giving you more headroom, punch, and the ability to use the 3-band EQ. Push it down, and you bypass the preamp for a pure, vintage-style passive P-Bass tone. It’s like having two distinct basses in one.
It’s all about comfort and playability. The fingerboard is more curved (10″ radius) down by the nut, which feels natural for fretting bass lines and chords. As you move up the neck for solos or higher-register playing, it gradually flattens out to a 14″ radius, which makes string bending easier and prevents notes from fretting out. It’s a premium feature that you can really feel.
Of course. Every guitar gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup, but tell us your preferred string gauge and action at checkout, and we’ll dial it in exactly to your spec before it leaves the shop.
This guitar is covered by our 14-Day Return Policy. If you’re not completely inspired by it, just let us know. We’ll make it right.
