Product Description

Workhorse Taylor with a Played-In Soul

Here’s a guitar that punches way above its weight class. This pre-owned Taylor 214ce-K is in excellent condition and delivers a tonal maturity that usually takes years to develop. It combines the classic comfort and versatility of the Grand Auditorium body with a special combination of woods and bracing that make it a standout for any player.

Torrefied Top, Mature Tone

The magic starts with the solid torrefied spruce top. Taylor’s torrefaction process is a special roasting method that mimics the aging of wood, giving you the warm, responsive, and open sound of a vintage guitar right out of the case. Chords have a beautiful bloom, and single notes ring with piano-like clarity, all with a sweetness in the highs that feels perfectly broken-in.

Koa Character and C-Class Power

Paired with that top are layered Hawaiian koa back and sides, which not only look stunning but add a focused midrange and a glassy top-end shimmer. Inside, Taylor’s C-Class bracing provides a surprising amount of low-end power and sustain for a Grand Auditorium body. It’s an innovative design that helps the top move more freely, giving you more volume and a richer, bolder voice that won’t get lost in the mix.

Stage-Ready Electronics and Effortless Playability

When you’re ready to plug in, the onboard Expression System 2 electronics capture the guitar’s natural acoustic voice with incredible accuracy. The neo-tropical mahogany neck has Taylor’s comfortable Standard Carve, making it a joy to play for hours on end, while the Venetian cutaway offers clear access to the upper frets. This is a do-it-all instrument, perfect for the singer-songwriter, the weekend gigger, or the dedicated home player.

The Lowdown

We get it. Buying a guitar you haven’t played is a big decision. You need to know it’s going to feel right, sound right, and inspire you the second you open the case. We put together the questions we’d be asking if we were in your shoes—the real-world stuff that specs alone can’t answer. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just give us a call.

Torrefaction is a wood roasting process that mimics the natural aging of wood. For you, the player, it means you get the sound of a well-aged, vintage guitar from day one. It creates a warmer, more responsive tone with a sweetness in the high frequencies that’s incredibly musical.
Taylor’s C-Class bracing is an innovative internal architecture that boosts volume, sustain, and especially the bass response. For a comfortable Grand Auditorium body, you get a surprisingly powerful low-end and a voice that sounds bigger and bolder than you’d expect.
Of course. Every guitar gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup, but tell us your preferred string gauge and action at checkout, and we’ll dial it in exactly to your spec before it leaves the shop.
This guitar is covered by our 14-Day Return Policy. If you’re not completely inspired by it, just let us know. We’ll make it right.
Orders ship same day in most cases and arrive within 1-4 business days with free, insured shipping. We’ll get it into your hands as quickly as we can.
Call us at (888) 794-8482. You’ll talk to a real musician who can answer anything you need to know.
