Product Description

A Legacy Honored

Celebrating 35 years of impeccable craftsmanship, this pre-owned 2020 PRS 35th Anniversary Custom 24 is a testament to the model that started it all. It takes the foundational brilliance of the Custom 24 and enhances it with features developed over decades of artistry. The McCarty Sunburst finish on this 10-Top flame maple is pure visual poetry, delivering the kind of depth and movement that makes you want to pick it up and play for hours. This isn’t just a guitar; it’s a piece of PRS history, built for the player who demands versatility and elegance.

TCI-Tuned Tone Machines

At the heart of this anniversary axe are the spectacular 85/15 pickups. Tuned using Paul’s TCI (Tuned Capacitance and Inductance) process, these humbuckers offer remarkable clarity and extended high and low end. The bridge pickup serves up a hot, articulate punch that cuts through a mix with authority, while the neck pickup is warm, soulful, and sings with a vocal-like quality. They’re vintage-inspired but with a modern edge that keeps them from getting muddy, even with heavy gain.

Unprecedented Sonic Flexibility

Where this Custom 24 truly sets itself apart is the electronics layout. Instead of a simple push/pull pot, this model features two dedicated mini-toggle coil-tap switches. This allows you to split each humbucker individually, unlocking a massive palette of sounds. You can run a full bridge humbucker for a fat rhythm tone, then instantly switch to a glassy, single-coil neck tone for a clean passage. Or, combine a bridge single-coil with a neck humbucker for unique hybrid sounds you can’t get anywhere else. From screaming rock leads to delicate, nuanced clean tones, it’s all in there.

Effortless Playability

The Pattern Regular neck profile is a fan favorite for a reason. It’s a comfortable, rounded shape that feels substantial enough for chording but is sleek enough for lightning-fast runs. Paired with a 25″ scale length and a smooth rosewood fretboard, the playing experience is pure PRS: buttery, responsive, and utterly inspiring. The Gen III Patented Tremolo and Phase III locking tuners provide rock-solid tuning stability, so you can dive-bomb and flutter with confidence.

The Lowdown

We get it. Buying a guitar you haven’t played is a big decision. You need to know it’s going to feel right, sound right, and inspire you the second you open the case. We put together the questions we’d be asking if we were in your shoes—the real-world stuff that specs alone can’t answer. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just give us a call.

Instead of a single push/pull pot, the 35th Anniversary model uses two independent mini-toggle switches. This lets you coil-split each humbucker individually, giving you access to eight distinct pickup combinations. You can mix and match humbucker and single-coil tones for a huge range of sounds that standard wiring just can’t produce.
The 85/15 pickups are Paul Reed Smith’s modern take on a vintage voice. They have a wonderful clarity and warmth, but with a bit more output and a broader frequency range than classic PAFs. They can handle high gain without getting muddy and produce beautiful, articulate clean tones, making them incredibly versatile.
Of course. Every guitar gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup, but tell us your preferred string gauge and action at checkout, and we’ll dial it in exactly to your spec before it leaves the shop.
This guitar is covered by our 72-Hour Love-It Guarantee. If you’re not completely inspired by it, just let us know. We’ll make it right.
Orders ship same day in most cases and arrive within 1-4 business days with free, insured shipping. We’ll get it into your hands as quickly as we can.
