Product Description

The Vibe is Real

This isn’t just another Strat. This is the Fender Limited Edition Vintera II Road Worn ’60s Stratocaster, and it feels less like it came off a production line and more like it was pulled from under a bed at an estate sale. The Road Worn nitrocellulose lacquer finish in Sonic Blue isn’t just for looks; it’s a finish that breathes with the alder body, letting all that woody resonance and chime come through. It feels broken-in, familiar, and ready to tell some stories from the very first chord.

Vintage Soul, Modern Reliability

Fender nailed the ’60s recipe here. The trio of Vintage-Style ’60s Single-Coil Strat pickups deliver the glassy highs and warm, punchy mids that defined a decade of music. From surf rock to blues to psychedelic, these pickups have the authentic cut and sparkle you’re looking for. They’re wired up to a classic 5-way switch, giving you all those iconic in-between quack tones that make a Strat so versatile.

That Unmistakable ’60s Feel

The neck is where you live on a guitar, and this one feels like home. The ’60s “C” shape is that perfect middle ground, comfortable for chording and nimble enough for lead work. It’s finished with the same Road Worn nitro, so it’s smooth and played-in, never sticky. Topped with a slab rosewood fingerboard with a vintage 7.25″ radius and 21 vintage-tall frets, you get the authentic feel of a classic with just enough modern playability for easy bending and vibrato.

Anatomy of a Tone Machine

Anatomy of a Tone Machine

Perfect for: Blues • Rock • Surf • Indie

Tone

  • Bridge pickup delivers classic Strat spank and bite with a bright, articulate top end.
  • Neck pickup is warm, round, and glassy, perfect for soulful leads and mellow chords.
  • In-between positions (2 and 4) offer up that signature vocal-like "quack" with scooped mids.
  • Responds beautifully to your pick attack; dig in for more grit or play softly for clean, bell-like tones.

Playing Feel

  • The Road Worn nitro finish on the neck feels smooth and broken-in, like a guitar you've played for years.
  • The '60s "C" profile and 7.25" radius fingerboard provide a comfortable, authentic vintage playing experience.
  • Alder body is typically lightweight and well-balanced, making it comfortable for long gigs or sessions.
  • Vintage-tall frets make bending strings and applying vibrato feel effortless compared to traditional vintage frets.

Versatility

  • Excels at clean and edge-of-breakup tones, capturing the essence of '60s sounds.
  • A perfect platform for pedals, especially fuzz, wah, and classic overdrives.
  • Records like a dream, sitting perfectly in a mix with that timeless Stratocaster character.
  • Cuts through a band mix with its clear, articulate single-coil voice without being harsh.

The Lowdown

We get it. Buying a guitar you haven’t played is a big decision. You need to know it’s going to feel right, sound right, and inspire you the second you open the case. We put together the questions we’d be asking if we were in your shoes—the real-world stuff that specs alone can’t answer. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just give us a call.

The Road Worn nitrocellulose lacquer isn’t just about looks. It’s a thinner finish that allows the alder body to resonate more freely, which contributes to a more open and lively tone. For the player, it feels fantastic, the neck is smooth and fast, and the body feels like a comfortable, broken-in instrument from the moment you pick it up.
While a 7.25″ radius is rounder than modern Fenders, the vintage-tall frets give you extra clearance. This makes it much easier to bend strings without ‘fretting out’ compared to traditional vintage frets. You get the comfortable chording feel of a vintage radius with enhanced playability for leads.
Of course. Every guitar gets our full Player-Perfect™ setup, but tell us your preferred string gauge and action at checkout, and we’ll dial it in exactly to your spec before it leaves the shop.
This guitar is covered by our 14-Day Return Policy. If you’re not completely inspired by it, just let us know. We’ll make it right.
Orders ship same day in most cases and arrive within 1-4 business days with free, insured shipping. We’ll get it into your hands as quickly as we can.
