Vintage Vibe, Double the Trouble
This isn’t your average Les Paul. This is the Gibson Les Paul Standard 60s “Double Trouble,” a limited-run beast that takes a classic platform and injects it with a whole lot of vintage attitude. It starts with the time-tested, non-weight-relieved Mahogany body and a gorgeous AA figured Maple top, the recipe for that legendary sustain and resonance that defines the Les Paul sound. But the “Double Trouble” takes it further with a hand-sprayed, slightly faded Vintage Tobacco Sunburst nitro finish, giving it the look and feel of a guitar that’s already seen a few storied stages.
Uncovered, Unchained Tone
The heart of this guitar’s unique voice lies in its namesake feature: a pair of uncovered Burstbucker 61 pickups revealing their Double Classic White bobbins. Leaving the pickups uncovered isn’t just for looks; it adds a touch of raw, articulate bite to the classic PAF formula. The Burstbucker 61R in the neck is warm, glassy, and perfect for buttery leads, while the 61T in the bridge cuts with a focused, harmonically rich grit that drives an amp into sweet overdrive. Hand-wired with Orange Drop capacitors, the controls are incredibly responsive, letting you clean up your sound with a simple twist of the volume knob.
That Legendary 60s Feel
If you love a neck that’s fast but still has some substance, the SlimTaper 60s profile is your sweet spot. It’s substantial enough for chording but thin enough to let you fly across the Rosewood fingerboard. Combined with the classic 12″ radius and 22 medium-jumbo frets, bending is effortless, and lead lines sing with clarity. From the ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge to the Grover Rotomatic tuners, every piece of hardware is chosen for rock-solid stability and authentic 60s swagger. This is a player’s guitar, built to be played hard and sound incredible doing it.
