Moore Guitars is proud to be one of the select dealers partnering with the Fender Custom Shop

Moore Guitars is proud to partner with Fender Instruments and be a part of the select dealers who carry guitars from The Fender Custom Shop.

In Fender’s own words: “Custom Shop builders are completely dedicated to their art—part craftsman, part artist, part music fan and, more often than not, part mad scientist… the creations that come from it are no ordinary instruments.”

Whether you're dreaming up a one-of-a-kind guitar from scratch or recreating the legendary instrument that first lit your musical spark, the Fender Custom Shop is where those dreams come to life. It's the workshop of some of the most skilled and passionate luthiers in the industry—builders who transform wood and wire into timeless instruments. More than just guitars, these are heirlooms—crafted with such care and detail that they’re meant to be played, cherished, and eventually passed down. While not everyone can afford the rare, six-figure vintage originals, the Custom Shop offers something just as special: beautifully made guitars with unmatched craftsmanship and soul. For players everywhere, they’re more than instruments—they’re inspiration in your hands, pushing you not just to play, but to play your best.

We at Moore Guitars are all players - we have the same passion about instruments as you - so much so, we decided to make this our vocation! Let us help you pick out the guitar you need, or help you design the guitar you have always wished for. The reality is this - there are people that can make those dreams come true - or maybe they already have, and it's right here!

From Fender

Early 1954 marks the last production run of the infamous single-ply black phenolic pickguard on what we now know as a Nocaster® Blonde-finished body, eventually moving to a single-ply white ABS pickguard to match the all-new Stratocaster®.

Preserving the iconic appointments of the sought after early Telecaster® guitars, this 1954 model features a two-piece select ash body (with offset seam on the treble side), a one-piece rift sawn maple neck with ’54-style “U” back-shape and vintage compound 7.25” to 9.5” fingerboard radius. Equipped with a pair of Custom Shop hand-wound Loaded ’51 Nocaster® pickups, this guitar has all the clarity and twang you would expect from an early-‘50s Tele®, but with a bit of extra power on tap.

Other premium features include 21 medium vintage (47095) frets, Fat '50s Tele® wiring, 3-way switch, single-ply black phenolic pickguard, '51-'54 Tele® bridge with brass barrel saddles, vintage-style tuning machines, bone nut, disc string tree, deluxe hardshell case, strap and certificate of authenticity.

Key reasons why your next instrument should come from Moore Guitars:

-Flexible financing options. We offer 0% financing through Affirm and other flexible payment plans. Contact us to find the best option for you!

-72-Hour Risk-Free Trial. Certain models qualify for a no-risk, 72-hour trial period—ask us for details!

-Free UPS Ground Shipping: Need it faster? Expedited shipping options are available!

-Custom setup: Our experienced guitar techs set up and intonate every guitar and bass to the manufacturer's specifications before shipping. But what if you want something specific to your taste? No problem. If you want to provide measurements for neck relief and string height, we’ll nail it. Or you can give more general manufacturer's specs, like, “Neck is pretty flat. Low action. No buzz.” Our techs are professional guitarists. They understand you.

-In business since 1976: Moore Music has been a premier brick-and-mortar guitar shop in Evansville, Indiana since shortly after opening in 1976. Founder, Pat Moore, instilled in his business the concept of old-school service that we build upon today. When the current owner, Brett Mulzer, took the store online as Moore Guitars in 2013, we quickly developed a reputation for honesty and integrity in all our interactions with our customers. That’s a prime reason why we’re the fastest-growing online guitar shop.

-Old School Customer Service: Nothing is more important than helping a customer even if we don’t make a sale. We believe that if we’re honest with you, and treat you right, you’ll be back. Call us, or chat with us online. We love talking about guitars, and we want to help you find your perfect instrument. Even if it’s not from us.... but we think it will be!

-Our sales staff are all musicians! What’s more important than communication? We speak your language. Whether you’re a beginner or a professional player, we’ve been in your shoes. A lot of aspects of the guitar are intangible, and a non-player just can’t understand. It’s a guitar thing. But we can talk about tone and feel in the same language you use. We know what it means to love an instrument, and we want to help you find your new love.

You should have NO disappointments when you see this guitar and hold it for its first strum.

Please call the staff at Moore Guitars if you would like to have a personal on the phone description of this guitar. Thank you looking at our listing!
