A few notes from the Moore Guitars staff on this Martin 000-28:

Before we get into the “hard specs” of this particular guitar, let's get an overall, holistic view of this instrument. "000" shapes are known to offer incredible volume and power given their smaller size, while still providing great projection!

Let's briefly talk about the size - there is always a little bit of confusion about the difference between an OM and a 000.  Let's try to answer that with one sentence - the bodies are the same, but the neck scale is shorter on the 000 - 24.9" vs 25.4". This provides an OM to "feel" a little more like a "standard sized" guitar in terms of "reach" and string tension.  Sometimes ("sometimes") players that are a little "heavy in their right hand" will prefer the longer scale due to the higher string tension, so they would gravitate to the OM; while others may prefer the lighter tension 24.9" scale of a 000. There is a definite "comfort" aspect to the 000's shorter scale and tension that just feels...well... "ahhhhh"!

At the end of the day, most Martin buyers strive for a few things - (an old Martin, but that's another story for another time!), historic accuracy, great tone, great playability, and a guitar they can count on to inspire their creativity.  This series delivers on those desires, and for those of us (this writer included) who appreciate small bodied guitars, this "triple-O" delivers on the promise.

Scalloped X-bracing, herringbone trim and antique white binding offers a bold, complex tone and timeless style. Spruce and East Indian rosewood pair with a sleek modified low-oval neck for a feel you won't want to put down and comfort that means you won't need to.

No buzz.” Our techs are professional guitarists. They understand you.

   - In business since 1976! Moore Music has been a premier brick-and-mortar guitar shop in Evansville, Indiana since shortly after opening in 1976. Founder, Pat Moore, instilled in his business the concept of old-school service that we build upon today. When the current owner, Brett Mulzer, took the store online as Moore Guitars in 2013, we quickly developed a reputation for honesty and integrity in all our interactions with our customers. That’s a prime reason why we’re the fastest-growing online guitar shop.

   - Old School Customer Service! Nothing is more important than helping a customer even if we don’t make a sale. We believe that if we’re honest with you, and treat you right, you’ll be back. Call us, or chat with us online. We love talking about guitars, and we want to help you find your perfect instrument. Even if it’s not from us.... but we think it will be!

   - Our sales staff are all musicians! What’s more important than communication? We speak your language. Whether you’re a beginner or a professional player, we’ve been in your shoes. A lot of aspects of the guitar are intangible, and a non-player just can’t understand. It’s a guitar thing. But we can talk about tone and feel in the same language you use. We know what it means to love an instrument, and we want to help you find your new love.

You should have NO disappointments when you see this guitar and hold it for its first strum. Please call the staff at Moore Guitars if you would like to have a personal on the phone description of this guitar. Thank you!
