A few notes from the Moore Guitars staff:
Gibson is without a doubt one of the most time honored guitar manufacturers of our era! Along with just a handful of other guitar companies, there are few that match the time honored traditions that can also blend in what current players are looking for without sacrificing traditions. When you think about what an acoustic guitar "should" sound like, a few strums will tell you you might just have that tone in your hands!
First introduced in 2003, the Gibson Songwriter combines Gibson’s time-honored bracing patterns of the 1930’s with their original dreadnought shape, providing a supreme tonal quality. Featuring beautiful rosewood back and sides paired with a Sitka spruce top, this is Gibson’s modern rosewood dreadnought with a superior dynamic range, but let's dive in deeper - this guitar deserves your undivided attention!
This Songwriter EC Custom is a very unique version in the Songwriter family! Where this is a vintage-voiced braced guitar, it has Les Paul-style ornamentation, and striking visuals that "amplify" this Songwriter EC Custom model into a stylish more modern looking instrument - the ornate headstock, double-bound body, and captivating mother-of-pearl inlays will trick your mind - this is an extremely unique acoustic with stunning LP electric style!
So - back to the acoustic/tone properties - this is a square shouldered dreadnought with a modern cutaway feature so you can effortlessly grab those upper register notes with more ease then ever! It makes this guitar a very attractive player for acoustic as well as electric guitarists. The addition of the Fishman Prefix Plus-T preamp gives you the ability to also plug in to your favorite acoustic guitar amp, sound system, or console to get that acoustic guitar tone you need in either an amplified or a recording session.
Believe it or not - sometimes just the look and the feel of the instrument in your hands drives you to excel in your playing - you'll find melodies or feel a sense of "just 5 more minutes" of playing time inspires you to keep going. This is a full scale 25.5" acoustic which has the tension and feel you would expect when picking up a full bodied acoustic guitar! The feel of the bound neck and playing comfort, along with great balance and how the guitar responds to your strumming or picking hand brings more and more out of the instrument. The way a guitar feels and looks makes you want to pick it up....and a few glances this way will make you want to do just that!
