A few notes about this Gibson SJ200 Custom from the Moore Guitars staff:
Moore Guitars in Evansville, Indiana is excited to present this incredible new Gibson, fresh from the Gibson factory in Bozeman, Montana! Before diving into the detailed specs of this stunning instrument, let’s take a step back and view it from a player’s perspective.
Imagine combining the elegance of a Les Paul Custom with the bold presence of an SJ-200. What do you get? A full maple-bodied jumbo guitar that brings the best of both worlds—complete with a double-bound body, a high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish, and even the iconic Les Paul Custom-style headstock. It’s a jaw-dropping blend of tradition and innovation! So - not only do you have an absolute stunning guitar to look at and hold, it is an extremely well balanced guitar to hold and play - whether standing up or sitting down.
Whether you're playing intricate fingerstyle pieces or delivering bold, full strums, this guitar responds with seamless precision. The flame maple back and sides offer excellent note separation and clarity, while still delivering a strong, defined low end. And thanks to the jumbo body design, the extra-large sound chamber delivers the volume, tonal balance, and projection you’d expect from a high-performance acoustic.
If you are a performer OR studio player, the built in LR Baggs VTC pickup system is a very balanced sounding system, and is able to recreate the acoustic properties of this instrument extremely well. There is a very easy to access Volume and tone control to get the sweet spot just right whether you are plugged in direct to a PA or through an acoustic amplifier. To really enjoy a great "plugged in" acoustic experience, we would recommend the following pedals in this order - a high quality chorus into a digital delay; then a reverb ending with a looper.
Top Wood: Sitka Spruce Back & Side Wood: Flamed Maple Weight: 5lbs Serial: 20285001
