Breedlove Guitars: challenging the status quo to give you something greater

Published by Christopher Volpini - October 03, 2018

Though many people correlate a mahogany body with a darker tone, this guitar is very balanced across the tonal spectrum. It also packs all jumbo tone into a concert body eliminating the compromise between a booming tone and an ergonomically sound instrument. That said, this is no “boom-box”.

The ebony fretboard coupled with the mahogany body and neck offers a clear response to bring out the most nuanced intricacies of your playing without sacrificing depth. The LR Baggs EAS-VTC electronics provides a simple vol-tone setup that needs very little tweaking.

It is easy to go down a rabbit hole of cliché terms and tired adjectives when doing a guitar review, but this is a true players’ instrument devoid of industry fads and cheap marketing gimmicks. Like the Breedlove company, this is an instrument of substance. Breedlove uses no clear-cut lumber meaning the wood for their instruments is resourced with the highest degree of environmental responsibility.

Unlike many other instrument companies that pump out units and run their business from a spreadsheet, Breedlove takes care in every facet of their processes to give you a quality instrument that will serve you for a lifetime.
