PRS 509 Guitars

If a true “Swiss Army Knife” of guitars exists, the Paul Reed Smith 509 is it!
As one of the most versatile guitars in the PRS lineup, the sonic foundation of the 509 lies in its 5 true single-coil pickups. The neck and bridge pickups are actually pairs of single coils that are operable together in series for “humbucker” tones. Because of this, the “split” settings are actually true single coils, and sound much more convincing than coil-split conventional humbuckers. A 5-way blade switch, along with two mini-toggles to pair or unpair the bridge and neck pickups gives players a total on nine unique humbucking, singlecoil, and blended tones.

Unique appointments include a longer 25.25" scale length which adds upper harmonic sparkle and the PRS Gen III Patented Tremolo which provides impressive sustain. The Pattern Regular mahogany neck offers the comfort and playability you expect from a PRS, and with the Phase III Locking Tuners, the 509 provides remarkable tuning stability. As with most other PRS core guitars, the 509 features a mahogany body with figured maple top.

The Paul Reed Smith 509 is a favorite here at Moore Guitars, and we’re proud to offer this guitar in optional 10-top, Artist Package and Moore Guitars Exclusive Wood Library configurations.
